That didn't take long.

Street's days at closer could end tonight in Los Angeles. Manager Clint Hurdle said he would use Thursday's off day to evaluate the position.

Corpas, who has been the setup man, has outpitched Street. Corpas' one hiccup was in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia. Street has struggled since recording his first save Tuesday. Opposing hitters are 8-for-15 against the right-hander, including three home runs.

He got pulled on Jackie Robinson day, with the Rockies up by three. He'd given up a homerun, a single, and a walk when he got yoinked :X Somehow, I am sure this can be blamed on Rich Harden.

I need to find out how Danny's doing so far. I've not been very good at keeping up with my boys this year.

oooh, oakland diaspora. what an awesome tag.

i would like him to be traded to a team i can more easily follow. i just keep forgetting about colorado, even though i live with someone who talks about the state all the time and i've got greg smith there too, my darling pick-off guy.

all this time i've been working on my presentation i'm constantly reminded that huston street was the first reason i liked oakland. hahaha. and that was three seasons ago! wow.

12th time's the charm? :P I was just thinking that I couldn't really be bothered to have a tag JUST for Huston ;)

Tell me about it! As Bri says, it's not like he's a starter, and you can tune in every 5th day and now you'll see him. I just can't be bothered to watch Colorado games just in case Street comes in. Especially now that he's not even gonna get the save opportunities :X

Is he up with the big club? I thought he hadn't made the team out of ST.

and that was three seasons ago! wow.

Time does fly!

That shows you exactly how much I've been paying to Colorado, DESPITE my love for Greg Smith and his interviewing skills. I had no idea he wasn't a starter with the big club. :)

Danny's pitching well, but the D'backs have apparently forgotten how to hit. He's 0-2 with a 2.08 ERA, 11 Ks and 3BBs in two starts. His WHIP is .77.

Story of Danny's life! Oh well. He's got the long term contract, there's no sweating the unlucky losses now.

Well, I have to say that I knew a demotion was coming as soon as I saw what happened in that ninth inning (http://pics.livejournal.com/aurealis/pic/000z08t4/). :-P How far have you fallen, Huston. And now i have to look for another closer for my team. :-(

How far have you fallen, Huston

I know! I blame Lacey.

Apparently Hurdle says Huston will have the chance to earn the closer's job back. HMMMM. WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE?

they were both soo distracted by each other, they both pitched like shit! hah.

oh huston. way to lose your job all over the place. who's loss-of-job is more embarrassing? huston's or bobby's?

i vote huston's! (only because i love my bobby)

Entirely possible! Hatesex has that effect on people.

lol, that's a hard call. I think I vote Huston, too, though. I wasn't really figuring Bobby would make any kind of comeback :X

Why do you want Street traded from the Rockies? *headscratch*

From: [identity profile] ayrdaomei.livejournal.com

They're just not a team I watch...at all. It's just easier to keep track of relievers when they're on teams you might actually watch now and then ;)
