Saw the X-Files movie with [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] this morning. If you're considering seeing it, please be advised that it could not be less worth the price of a matinee ticket if TPTB had said "hey, let's make a movie that's not worth the price of a matinee ticket."
Seriously, if this movie were in the $4 bin at Walmart, you'd be wasting your money if you bought it. As you might have suspected when you saw the trailer, the plot is stupid when it's making sense, and doubly stupid when it's not. And no lie, I had a hard time understanding a good 50% of the non-plot driven exchanges between Mulder and Scully. (That is to say, I understood the words, but I didn't understand why the characters were having the conversation, or their motivations, or you know, any of that unimportant stuff). Granted, I stopped watching the show somewhere in season five, but I don't think that's enough to explain why I was left "...?" by more than one conversation between those two.
Totally not recommended, not even for die-hards or true blue Callum Keith Rennie fans. IMO, you're better off rewatching your favorite X-Files two-parter, or some third season dS.

I liked it, maybe more than the chickpea kind, but it was a much bigger pain in the ass working with dried fava than with chickpea, and I don't know that I liked it that much more.
