I give you this news release from the Oakland Athletics:

Prior to today's game against the Cleveland Indians, the Oakland Athletics activated right-handed pitcher Esteban Loaiza from the 15-day disabled list and placed pitcher Rich Harden on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to June 5) with a sprained ligament in his right elbow.

Now, see. Tempting the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. Never fails.

That's actually not all that funny at all. Harden being out with a sprained ligament in his elbow? He'll be out for two months.

Brandon Backe has the same thing and he's been gone for seven weeks. So really, Harden being out isn't funny at all.

You've got your funny ha-ha, and then there's your funny uh oh, that comes with the clarity of being continually screwed. Rich seems to regularly fall into the latter category.
