Wow, Seven Pounds is really getting killed by the critics. Lisa Schwhatsherface from EW gave it a D, and according to A.O. Scott of the NY Times, Seven Pounds "may be among the most transcendently, eye-poppingly, call-your-friend-ranting-in-the-middle-of-the-night-just-to-go-over-it-one-more-time crazily awful motion pictures ever made."
...and so my 2007-2008 streak of not seeing Will Smith films in theatres remains unbroken. Craziness. I was rather looking forward to the reunion of Will and Rosario on screen, but it can wait for TV if the movie is as bad as it sounds. At least I got all those pretty promotional shots of them together.
