[Bad username or site: trailer_spot / @ livejournal.com]'s most recent post has links to a full trailer for Transformers and the first teaser for Ocean's 13.

As for Transformers....huh. Way to be like a million times less campy than I was expecting. I don't know how I feel about that, to tell you the truth. I was getting Terminator 2 vibes the whole time. Maybe once we get footage of them speaking (THEY WILL TALK, RIGHT?) I'll warm up to it some. (butomgagentaaron!♥)

And as for Ocean's 13, well I want to be annoyed that they might just keep making progressively crappier sequels to one of my favorite movies FOREVER...

If I said I wasn't so there, I'd be a liar.

Caught up on BSG earlier. I am just so ready for Kara to die. And I hate that, especially since the writers keep focusing storylines on her tired ass. I was never a big Starbuck fan, but at least I could stand her in the first season. Even respected her some. Now I just want her to. Not be alive. Anymore.

That show needs like five times more Sharon.

Wait, they're making a Nancy Drew movie? That's explicitly being marketed towards tweenage girls? How awful!

lol! I didn't even download that trailer, because. you know. CHILDHOOD HERO. And it's gonna be so crap. Or like Veronica Mars - the big screen version. And I'm already meh about that show.

I hear you. I bet I'd feel much the same way if they ever made a Tom Swift movie, but turned it into crap.

Aw, who the hell am I kidding? I'd see that too. I'm a sucker for that sort of crass re-commercialization of my already-commercialized childhood.

And with BSG, they could do that. Five times more Sharon, all at the same time. But yeah, Starbuck is getting on my nerves. I actually liked her most when she was the key in all the storylines that involved Kobol and the return to Caprica (the whole farm thing excepted), but ever since the second exodus, it's just all argh all the time.

I'm also right with you on absolutely every last word you just said about Ocean's 13.

Hee. Stop wasting opportunities, people!

but ever since the second exodus, it's just all argh all the time.

Yesssssss. I just feel like her characters goes round and round in circles. Circles that I donnnnnnnnnn't care about at all.

I never even saw Ocean's 12, so I'm not bothering with 13, no matter how much pretty they throw at me!

..I really need to start watching BSG, don't I?

From: [identity profile] ayrdaomei.livejournal.com

You were not missing out, honestly. The only thing to watch Ocean's 12 for was the moments. It definitely wasn't a coherent, well-told *story* like the first one.

..I really need to start watching BSG, don't I?

You know, I don't know how much I'd say 'need' anymore (which makes me kinda sad). But it's a really good show, and you could enjoy it. They tell some good stories.

Sad. I haven't seen it yet what with the power. Yeah, Kara's getting on my nerves, too. Though so is Apollo. But I can get behind lots more Sharon.

Though so is Apollo.

OMG, yes! In fact, Apollo's another one I haven't really liked since season one, and definitely not since at least from where 2.5 started. Ugh.

I'm pretty glad I'm not the only over Kara. I'm not involved in the fandom online very much, so my only barometer is seeing how many icons she's featured in when someone posts a new batch of BSG icons. Which is an imperfect measure, I know, but I'm lazy. Still, REALLY glad. Maybe word will get to the writers that fandom is starting to be over their Mary Sue.

Yeah, they talk. In fact they got the original voice of Optimus Prime (read: the voice of God) to reprise the role for this movie. I have about 47 pounds of reservations about it, yet nothing could stop me from seeing the movie. Even though Spidey 3 will surely be better, I'm looking forward to this more..just because...it's fucking Transformers! I'm just so curious to see how they're going to pull it off (or fail trying).

(butomgagentaaron!♥)

I spent about 8 seconds trying to figure out what decepticon or autobot had you so excited, until I realized it was not that. I'm like, I don't recall seeing Omegatron in the trailer...and why did she spell it so weirdly? Slowness.

Ocean's 13? Seriously? I still have gone back to watch the last 10 mins I missed of O12. And its on all the time. I care that much. O11 still rocks though. Maybe 13 won't do that obnoxious thing of trying to squeeze everyone from the previous movie back in, even when they don't fit. It's funny how even though he sucked at it, in the Ocean's "Big Three", Clooney is totally the Batman. One guess as to who Matt is. =P

lol, yes.

Slowness.

:P I sent my brother a link to the trailer and he was like HAHA YOUR SECRET SERVICE AGENT IS IN IT! I was amused that he noticed Aaron too.

Ocean's 13? Seriously?

Hee, that was my reaction, too. I hadn't even heard another one was already in the works.

Ahahaha. Well, I take small comfort in the in the fact that Julia is nowhere to be seen.

It's funny how even though he sucked at it, in the Ocean's "Big Three", Clooney is totally the Batman.

LOL. Yus.

Cool, I had no idea the same man behind Optimus Prime was in this. The show was not for me, but my younger brother and his pals watched this religiously. I guess this film will mean a lot to that fanbase. I remember reading a few years ago about some soldier, just sent over to Iraq, legally changing his name to Optimus Prime. Something to do with Optimus Prime being like a father figure for him as a kid since he had none. OKay, it's a bit nutso, but reading the story it was a bit sad and sweet, too.

Yeah, I can only imagine. People are really really excited for it.

I vaguely remembering hearing this story! And yes, all three. I mean, it's a fairly harmless gesture though, so I'm glad they let him go through with it ^_~
