The Rangers are making Wash their manager. Which lets Beane off the hook. I'm excited for Wash; the Rangers seem to be a decent young club. So I guess Geren is a lock for the A's job, if he wasn't already?

(Btw, not that I care, but O's fans: these rumors about the Rangers offering Tex for Bedard are a non-starter, right?)

My Mondays blow chunks. I really don't know what the hell I was thinking when I drew up my schedule. But on the plus, having to do laundry means I not only have clean clothes, but my credit card also reappeared. Sitting right there, when I opened the dryer to pull out my clothes. Thank you, helpful drying process. I was wondering what happened to that thing.

eta: Btw, thank you to everyone who responded that post from a couple days ago. There are a couple comments and emails I haven't replied to, but I wanted to let you know that I read them and I appreciate you all, very much.

Where did you hear that rumor? Did it come from a Texas site? Reputable?

I haven't heard or read anything to that effect. The O's rumor I heard was Tejada for Texeira

Just Jon Heyman's column (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/jon_heyman/11/03/friday.scoop/) on SI: A Tejada-for-Teixeira trade has been discussed, but the Rangers wanted Baltimore to sweeten the pot by including top young pitcher Erik Bedard.

Even with the hometown boy in there, I really can't see the Orioles giving up a young pitcher. That's nuts.

Yeah, I know, right? That was lame of me. I was just feeling very talked out on the subject.

See, there's a story there! I've been meaning to go home the last two weekends, so I kept putting off doing laundry, cause I can do it for free there! But, then, you know, I didn't. But yes, perfectly fine! I was happy.

I'm glad to see Wash get his opportunity, and, I have to say it, I'm happy it is not with the A's. I know that many people thought he would be perfect for the job, but in reality, the only perfect candidate is the one that will allow himself to act as Beane's stand-in. I could not have standed to see Wash disrepected.

Funny. It's hard to decide which team is more desperate for pitching. :-P I'd think Mazzone wouldn't like it if you shipped someone of his potential out. A bat is a lot easier to find that a young, talented lefty.
