Yeah, so now I'm 5 eps behind on Prison Break and counting. **face-palms** And I need to get caught up because there is no shortage of spoilery icons floating around. After the playoffs, I suppose. And the MPRE. And the Death Cab concert. Eventually, though! Yes.

I figure after the MPRE, I'm gonna take advantage of the fact that the MLB archive for 2005 will be around for another month or so to watch some of the 2005 A's games. (I really didn't pay the team any attention before August of 2005, except to root against them in the playoffs in 2001, 2002, and 2003. >.>) It occurs to me that I can feed [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com]'s Harden thing at the same time, by ripping his games from '05, since by the time she got into him this year, she got a chance to watch all of one start. Also, I'm hoping the more she's thinking about Harden, the less she's thinking about those rehab!Mulder icons I'll never get around to making her.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw this up now though, and I figure I'll usually be uploading about two at a time. Since I'm uploading them for her anyway, I'll make them available here as well. Each video file will be split into two parts to make uploading easier. To view, download both parts of the game you want to the same folder, click on one of the parts, and unzip it. The .rar unzipping process will handle the rest and rejoin the video file. Sorry, they've gotta be .rar files and they'll be either .asf or .wmv video, because that's how mlb.com archives the games. If you need them in another format, try googling for a program that will allow you to convert from windows media to whatever format works on your computer.

Ended up uploading this one to both Up-File and Sendspace because I was checking something out, but you know, you only need one copy of each part, so pick your poison. Both sendspace and upfile have a download limit of one file at a time, so presuming you have tremendous download speed, you could download one part from one service and the second part from the other. (Upfile pisses me off because though upload/download time seems to be quicker than sendspace, you have to jump through more hoops to get to the download.1 Lame!)

Game: Oakland Athletics @ Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Date: April 10, 2005.
Length: 3 hours and 19 minutes.
File Type, Size: wmv, 503 mbs.
Notes: Harden's first start of 2005. D-Rays broadcast. I started to put the outcome of the game here, but it's easy enough to find out if you want to know, and if you don't, I wouldn't want to spoil you ^_~ Btw, the first few minutes of this is a hodgepodge of random shit that I should have cut, but I wasn't paying attention. The game broadcast actually starts two and a half minutes in.
Part One - sendspace (250 mb)
Part One - upfile (250 mb)
Part Two - sendspace (249 mb)
Part Two - upfile (249 mb)

Bonus! For whatever reason, some of the games have up to 30 minutes of extraneous other stuff before the game actually starts. Before one of Harden's starts against Seattle was an entire episode of The Sports List. It happened to be the 10 Sexiest Athletes list. I clipped two parts that made me laugh.

#5 - Alex Rodriguez (asf, 4mbs)
"I'm a man but [he] has got to be one of the best looking dudes! He's got the lil' hazel green eyes, the baby smooth skin. . . ." - Arnez J. (Alex is Dominican, though, not Puerto Rican, Arnez!)

#4 - Derek Jeter (asf, 4mbs)
"He kinda looks like a mixed Elvis to me. And I don't know if it's the haircut, or, like, the shape of his face?" - K.D. Aubert

And from the credits, more Arnez on Alex Rodriguez (asf, 1mb).

1.Click link. Scroll past the first bunch of ads, and then click on/about the text that says This is your link to file ,Unlimited speed for all. This will cause a download link to finally appear towards the bottom of the page of ads. Click the Step 2 link. Go to another page of ads. Wait another minute for the real download link to appear at the top of the page. Finally start downloading. I cannot tell you how long it took me to realize I had to click that 'this is your link to file' text in order to download anything from Up-File, because when you hover your cursor over it, it doesn't appear to be an active link to anything. I assumed for months that Up-File just had a really sharp abuse team and they were taking down files.

Yes, they are!

You might want want to email MLB.com first and make sure. I know that last year, I bought my mlb.tv account in September, so I paid the 20 bucks for the last month of the regular season and the postseason and I had access to the archives until sometime in late December/early January.
