[Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] texted me yesterday to inform me the Cardinals are tentatively set to play in Oakland June 15-June 17. My birthday's the 16th, and hers is the week before. Clearly, some kind of endorsement from above of this random ass let's go to Oakland next year idea of ours. Is it too much to ask that Danny and Harden both have starts during that series? Please try to be healthy for more than 3 weeks of the 2007 season, James Richard.

Interestingly enough, the A's are also slated to play an interleague series in New York against the Mets. So...yes. Haren v. Zito, anyone? (If Zito does sign with the Mets, and ends up facing the A's in interleague...that would own. Like I'd need any more of an excuse to finally catch a game at Shea? I love living 4 hours from everywhere. And [Bad username or site: phantom_hpuff / @ livejournal.com] could come with, if only to remind me again how much she simply cannot be bothered to give a shit about the A's. And to make fat jokes about David, while fangirling Jose.)

Of course, this presumes that I still have an interest in the A's next year. It is entirely possible I'll be, like, a Reds fan or something. I'm a whore random with my fandom like that.

The Marlins are in Philly this weekend. I should probably go see them again, it would be the last time, and hey, they will never be the 2006 Marlins again. Especially since Leanne is keen to see Lieberthal one last go before he hangs it up. But I suck and I can't find the energy :/ I kinda want to see Scotty but he's not pitching til Sunday when Leanne can't go and besides, I'll have to be back at school by then. Boo.

wish i was four hours away from everywhere. lucky lucky you. and also, although the astros home schedule has improved leaps and bounds from this season, they STILL put the marlins at the beginning of the season when i'm not home. this makes me SO SAD. i'll never get to see my danny boy in action.

lol, okay, well I'm not 4 hours away from everywhere. [Bad username or site: phantom_hpuff / @ livejournal.com] was saying we should go to Florida for the last Marlins game of the season. And it turns out Miami is like 14 hours away.

Awwww. That sucks. The universe keeps being the same way with me and Dan Haren. On the other hand, what doesn't kill your love will only make it stronger! Or something.

Zito on the Mets.. See, I don't hate the Mets, but I don't like them enough to have him go there, you know? I wish they would stop messing with our heads. This offseason is going to be painful..

they will never be the 2006 Marlins again.

;_______; But, you know, we'll always have Paris.

I don't like them enough to have him go there, you know?

Oh man, yes. Don't get me wrong - I can't think of anywhere I like enough for Zito to be there and not in Oakland anymore. But if he's going SOMEWHERE... But yeah, this offseason will definitely suck. I was telling Bri, it always seems like you've never been through it before, when obviously we've all been through the franchise player leaving the franchise for greener pastures thing before.

That sounds like every conversation we ever have.

There, there. Death is the mother of beauty. Or something. Their memory lives in our hearts, and in that way the 2006 Marlins live for eternity. **sniffs**

That sounds like every conversation we ever have.

Pretty much. Sans the running masturbation gag.

random with my fandom! lol.

so the a's are going to play both central and eastern divisions next season? weird.

From: [identity profile] ayrdaomei.livejournal.com

It's on account of the NL having more teams than the AL, I suppose? They have to do weirdness to make it work. The Mets are the only NL East team the A's will face.

I totally think you should go to the game tomorrow and stalk my boys for me. Vance is playing, and you can yell at him, "Cheer up, emo catcher!" Actually, that could apply to both he and Pudge.

lol...am I, like, the last person to know that Harden's name is James Richard? I didn't know that was common knowledge - just found out last week from my mom looking at his credit card slip at her work! LOLOL!

Pretty cool timing on the Cards series!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that things work out for y'all!

LOL. Apparently, yes. Thank goodness for your mom nosing about :P

Thanks :) I'm really glad the series falls so conveniently because it will be a little easier to justify/spin the trip if I can convince myself the expense is graduation AND birthday related ^_~

She works for Safeway in Blackhawk...and apparently that's where a lot of the guys are living. She's seen Harden, Gaudin, Kotsay, and Swisher (twice) at work. I'm unbelievably jealous. lol. I told her Blanton's going to be next so she'd better keep her eyes open. lol.

I think about that too sometimes, lol. But it's all good. So long as I have c_b's stuff, I'll have an interest in the A's. Especially so long as my little slut James Richie is there.

It is entirely possible I'll be, like, a Reds fan or something.

It's becoming sort of a main attraction, now. What team will Myr choose to catapult to fame & fortune?

From: [identity profile] ayrdaomei.livejournal.com

**laughs** Wow. You shouldn't call Rich such names. HE'S JUST A NATURAL GIVER OF PHYSICAL COMFORT >.>

I catapult teams to fame and fortune? lol, the Orioles are still waiting on their share :P

I'm finding a need for the full tentative schedule so I can start scheduling a road trip. Something like this year's Memorial Day trip to Pittsburgh and Cleveland, only not by accident this time. And probably farther away, since I've been to everything around here except Yankee Stadium.

I'm thinking I have to go to Minnesota before they close the Metrodome, but I've got three years for that, I believe. Is there anyone else (other than Washington) building a new park?

Yes, choose the Reds! Keep me company. I'm lonely being the only one in your's and Bri's corners that counts them in her fandoms. *pushes Adam Dunn on you*
