So, on my birthday, someone gifted me with an LJ gift certificate. I didn't say anything at the time, because I thought it was [Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com], and I was going to see him the next day anyway. But when he and I met up for breakfast, he gave me a hardback of Runaways, volume 1, (which I'm insanely excited about, btw, because I fell in love with the art in that title ages ago), so it must have been someone else. I'm not gonna ask who, since I guess the fact that you sent it anonymously means you don't want me to know, but thank you so much! It was very sweet of you, and I really appreciate it.

Can't hang around long (**ignores cheers from peanut gallery**); have to gather up my things and get back to VA, but:

+ a handful of screencaps from the last few innings of yesterday's LAD @ OAK game. Because I have this thing where I'm as amused by a blown Huston save as I am pleased with an Oakland win, and last night provided both.

The Marlins swept Toronto, bringing their winning streak to 8 games. If Atlanta loses tonight, the Marlins will be out of last place in the NL East. And because I make no sense, I now begin to feel bad for the Braves, even though I'd be thrilled for someone other than the Fish to finish last in the East, and all the Braves have done for the past 8 years is annoy me. **laughs** What can I say. I like to make my fandom a complicated thing.

Okay, so I was reading your captions, & I gotta say they really tell the story.. Then I got to this (http://pics.livejournal.com/ayrdaomei/pic/00074p49/g12) picture, & is it me or does Barry have this "Why the hell are you sitting by me after you just did THAT?" look on his face? I mean, he looks flat out ticked off, lol.

But yea. You rock for taking those. I fricken love watching the guys in the dugout. XD

LOL. I think it's more that he's upset that Dan Haren wandered off and abandoned him ;_; When Huston first came crawling out of the clubhouse in the 11th or so, he sat just off to the side of them. And then Danny wandered off after a few innings and I guess Zito felt obligated to at least make some small gesture of solidarity by moving down next to Huston :P

You know, I'm not gonna lie, I had to think long and hard about who I would root for in the hardluck Indians-Cubs matchup tonight. I finally decided on the Cubs :P

There were times during the game when I was sitting there thinking, "Okay, don't beat up [insert Indian's pitcher here] TOO much.." hah. I'm really happy we won though. [hugs the Indians]

We'll lose the next 2 though, trust me. ;]
