Q: Do you love me?
A: **laughs** What? I don't even know you. I swear I have never done a poll on this lj that has not been taken by one ENTIRELY RANDOM PERSON. It never fails, lol.
===============
Q: Why can't I stop throwing up this morning?
A: Take heart, man. So begins the purification of your soul. Ascension is right around the corner.
===============
Q: What's your first memory?
A: Um. I have no idea. I'm always surprised when people say they can remember stuff from when they were really, really young. I have, like, no memory of stuff I did 5 years ago, let alone 20 years ago. I guess I have this vague memory of my dad doing my hair once when we lived in California, when I was small. My mom wasn't around for some reason, and he tried to do my pigtails, only he had no clue what he was doing, so I remember they were kind of uneven and weird. That would have been, I guess, kindergarten? That was the year we were in CA.
===============
Q: What's the stupidest Supreme Court opinion you've ever read?
A: I find Plessy pretty damn moronic. A statute which implies merely a legal distinction between the white and colored races -- a distinction which is founded in the color of the two races, and which must always exist so long as white men are distinguished from the other race by color -- has no tendency to destroy the legal equality of the two races. I mean...what?
===============
Q: Do you already have plans what you would like to do once you finish your study? Work as a lawyer? Any specific field?
A: I am the most directionless person EVER. Fuck no, I don't have plans. I don't even have plans for this summer, man. I really don't have the stomach to be a full-time trial lawyer or litigator, so you're not gonna see me in the prosecutor's office or doing the public defender thing. God forbid. As far as specific field, Employment Law is probably gonna be it, barring some revelation in my third year of law school. It's the field of law I find most interesting/stimulating.
===============
Q: you can only have one bpal for the rest of eternity. (oh, the HORROR!) which one do you pick and why?
A: Water of Notre Dame, I suppose. It's my comfort scent, as far as being my go to when I'm anxious or really worked up. Which I am. All the time. There's just something about it that I find really grounding.
===============
Q: Tell me about one of your mesmerizing-at-the-time-but-kinda-stupid-now high school crushes (I'm in the former stage of one now, want to know that's it's not just me)
A: Did I have a crush on anyone in highschool? I was really sweet on Mr. Lesh, my social studies teacher. He was married, which I found entirely distressing, a betrayal of sorts, really. But he was a really, really nice guy. He joked with us a lot. He was also fairly young, like mid 20s, I think, and when I found that out I was completely weirded out by it. He was dreamy. I used to get to class early JUST CAUSE :-P OH, wait. I just remembered. There was this one kid, Brian, maybe? I think that was his name. I don't really remember. He wasn't in my regular classes, because I was doing the IB thing, but I had an elective with him, drama, I think. He was just self-assured, and funny in a dry, low-key way, and I kind of liked that about him. I remember I gave him a ride home from school once, and he was talking to me, and I was, lol, rather enjoying just listening to him, and at some point he was like "You realize you just ran that stop sign?" Which was completely embarrassing, but he just sorta laughed at me and said "Don't worry. Everybody runs that stop sign." I remember getting the sense he was pretty intelligent from the few times we talked, and completely not understanding why he didn't do well in school, because I could tell he wasn't stupid. I never got why people who were smart didn't do well in school. I always wanted to be like "Just try! School's not that hard!" I was kind of an idiot. So, yeah. Anyway. He was a cool guy, and he made me laugh, but like, approach-to-life-wise, we were pretty different, so in retrospect, it was kind of a silly crush to have ever entertained at all.
Actually, those probably aren't the kinds of crushes you mean, but that's the best I got for you :-P While I'm fairly sure it's not just you, I'm really not the go to person on these kinds of things; sorry.

As usual, I'm very reluctant asking personal questions given the, for the most part, rather un-personal nature of my own blog. But in case it wasn't already clear, if you have any questions yourself you can always ask. Be it in form of a comment/reply, an email, or, you know, a post card. :)

I didn't say above, but my inclination is to do my employment law stuff on the worker's side - so a government gig would be a good thing to go for after graduation. Some agency that is charged with enforcing statutes that regulate employers, but has a really high settlement rate, so that trials are few and far between :-P That would be fabulous ^_~

And rightly so! :P
employment law stuff on the worker's side
Now that you mention it, I remember that you had an internship (or something comparable) that already was something in that field. So you're not that directionless after all. :)
Part of the reason why I asked was because I've heard before that some people study law only as a stepping stone for something different afterwards, using it mainly as a valuable addition to their CV.
