The Gmail ticker keeps informing me that Schmidt struck out 16 Marlins, like, OKAY, I KNOW, I WAS THERE. Well, not really, since I went to bed - I love the Fish and all but West Coast start times and me don't get on - the point is, I KNOW. And that was a whole game ago. Let's move on, Gmail ticker. Let's all move on. (Btw, for those keeping score, Fish are notlast! again ^_~)

Some stuff I've saved for myself in recent days, here if anyone else wants at. Mostly short clips, except the MLB Midday, which is the full show, because I'm too lazy to find and download a splicing program.

Steve Phillips sitdown with Travis Hafner - 05.24.06
Joe Mauer talking about throwing out baserunners
Clip from Wordplay feat. Moose (when he says 'we' here, is he talking about a group of Yankees? Because I can't really picture them working on crossword puzzles together. It's...vaguely endearing. Which is...EW.)
Sunday Conversation with Moose - 06.04.06
Sunday Conversation with Pujols - 05.21.06
Part 2 of Phife Dawg's sitdown with Zito on MLB Midday (asf)
Part 2 of Phife Dawg's sitdown with Zito on MLB Midday (wmv)
Koby Clemens talking about the upcoming opportunity to play with his father - 06.02.06*

And we wanted to know where Harden was living this year? )

It's a bit silly how happy this new understanding of things makes me.

*For the Koby fans, there was a pretty decent interview with him on Mike & Mike yesterday, but apparently ESPN has started making clips of Mike & Mike available to those with ESPN Insider access only (lame!) so I can't help you there.
So the affidavit containing Grimsley's admissions is now up on The Smoking Gun. [Bad username or site: bisquickgoddess / @ livejournal.com], he may name at least one Oriole in the redacted sections talking about amphetamines, since there's a reference to someone who was a teammate of his last year, and he was with the O's part of the 2005 season.

eta: Grimsley's agent is saying Grimsley was "outed" by the Feds because he refused to wear a wire and get other players to further implicate Barry Bonds in the use of banned substances. Hmm.
Alright, so recall, last week, the snarky statement by Ray Fosse about Rich Harden? ("..to be four games back in the West, still right there, very much, and a whole summer of baseball left. People like Rich Harden ready to return. I think the A's are in a good spot." "As long as he doesn't hurt his elbow throwing those sunflower seeds.")
I give you this news release from the Oakland Athletics:

Prior to today's game against the Cleveland Indians, the Oakland Athletics activated right-handed pitcher Esteban Loaiza from the 15-day disabled list and placed pitcher Rich Harden on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to June 5) with a sprained ligament in his right elbow.

Now, see. Tempting the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. Never fails.
