I got the very first one out of the box **happy dance** The poor guy rolled three boxes out of the stock room before he found the ROTK shipment.
And I felt a little bad for him. But just a little. Because honestly, they should have had that display set up and ready to go at like 11:45pm. Which is when I got there. And I didn't see a display, so I whispered to a clerk who was on the phone and and he looked at me and said "Not yet." And I reached over the counter and strangled him with the phone cord.
No, actually he said "Not yet." And I said "You cannot be serious." And he pointed at the clock and said "It's 11:52."
And then I experienced the longest eight minutes of my entire life. But it was quality time spent with a guy named Jim, who's also a first year in the lawschool, and he was also there for his ROTK, and yeah, we're basically engaged.
My friend who came with me for laughs was quite amused that there were actually a handful of other people there to pick up ROTK. He was all "Damn, now I guess I can't make fun of you." (Which technically isn't true. He can still make fun of all 5 of us.)
Oh, and speaking of friends who want to make fun of me...got this in response to my away message on IM ^_~

ROTK EE is MINE!
Sam turned to Bywater, and so came back up the Hill, as day was ending once more. And he went on, and there was yellow light, and fire within; and the evening meal was ready and he was expected. And Rose drew him in, and set him in his chair, and put little Elanor up upon his lap.
He drew a deep breath. 'Well, I'm back,' he said.
