Okay, so I was up last night, leaving three comments worth of feedback on something, which is so overeager it's kinda sad, but we're not really talking about me. I was up, and for once the signal for MTV U was coming in okay so I left it on. And the video came on for You're Beautiful by James Blunt. Um, have you guys seen this thing? Because....wtf? (You can check out the video here)

Yeah. I dunno. I remember hearing the song on the BBC countdown and thinking it was alright, but that video's a little special. CHILL OUT DUDE. You didn't even know her. And I note with nervous laughter that in the album version of that song, it's not I was flying high, it's I was fucking high. **backs away slowly**
Maybe it's just me. It took me ages to get over the creep factor of Savage Garden's I Knew I Loved You. I still find Boyz II Men's Thank You In Advance totally off-putting. Just...bring it down a notch, guys.
Ended up flipping the station and very randomly coming across the end of an ep of Supernatural. It was like...three in the morning? Weirdness. Anyway, I dropped in just in time to catch Loretta Divine matter-of-factly intoning "Your mother's spirit and the poltergeist's energy canceled each other out." Um, okay. First off, what is Loretta Divine doing on this show? I kept watching long enough to totally spoil myself on what I imagine is a big plot development, at least if I'm remembering the early stuff I heard about the show's premise correctly. On the other hand, it made me want to get a move on with checking out this show so I think I'm gonna load up the pilot in a few minutes. And maybe do up a couple eps if I can take it, because I have been scouring page proofs for the past 5 hours and my brain hurts.

Coheed & Cambria - The Suffering
If it was up to me, I would've figured you out / Way before the year clocked out
The Fray - Over My Head (Cable Car)
suddenly I become a part of your past / I'm becoming the part that don't last / I'm losing you...and it's effortless
The Fray - How To Save A Life
Actually, I didn't see this on MTV U. But I downloaded it when I snagged Over My Head and I like it. So there.
Thrice - Image of the Invisible
Remove the cancer, take back your souls / We are the image of the invisible
This video has been on like 4 times today. And every time I'm like, BUT WHY DOES THE GOVERNMENT WANT THE CHILDREN? And then I sit there trying to puzzle out this whole metaphor about losing our children to sin and apathy and wondering why Thrice keeps putting Christian symbolism in their videos and then getting annoyed when people ask if they consider themselves a Christian band.

P.S. Dude, I thought I was the only one who found I Knew I Loved You creepy.

Validation, yay! It grew on me after a while, because I played that entire album to death, but it was definitely one of the last songs to do so :-P
