Actually, I wanted to but my best friend has class at 8:00 tomorrow morning. So we're going at 1:35 tomorrow afternoon. And trust me, it's practically killing me to wait THAT long. :D
Man, don't talk to me about academic obligations...I totally have a rough draft due at 5pm tomorrow, and I'm gonna be miserable trying to get it done...but I just couldn't resist >.> I have no damn sense.

Haha trust me, I was with you. Who needs sleep, anyhow? Besides, my Friday classes are pretty much a joke so it doesn't matter if I sleep in. As it is, I'll be skipping at least two of them to get home in time for the afternoon showing.
Not going till Sunday (with my dad, it's tradition), but I'm excited just the same.
I really didn't like movies one or two, though they closely followed the story. They were just so souless. But movie 3 rocked, so I'm going in to this one with good expectations.
The only thing I'm worried about is that I'll be in the theatre with some crazed Ron/Hermione shipper who will make mean comments, and then I'll have to stand up for my ship, and then it'll be a rumble... (actually, that would be funny)

I was the same way. I saw the first film, and I was soooooooooooo underwhelmed. So long, so dry.... I actually never bothered with the second film when it came out, despite the presence of Kenneth Branagh, and I adooooore Kenneth Branagh. Then I heard Cuarón was directing the third film, and he directed A Little Princess which is one of my favorite movies EVER, so I went to see the third film with a friend. And finally, finally feel into the whole HP fandom. And it's funny, because so many fans bash the third film, but it's definitely my favorite of all of them.
The only thing I'm worried about is that I'll be in the theatre with some crazed Ron/Hermione shipper who will make mean comments, and then I'll have to stand up for my ship, and then it'll be a rumble... (actually, that would be funny)
AHAHAHA. That would be me. I'll be the one yelling "That's RIGHT! CANON, BITCHES!" and starting a brawl :-P

Completely against my better judgment...yes. Thank God for Red Bull and Diet Coke because I'm gonna have to pull an all-nighter on my rough draft ^_~

And I enjoyed it enough to finally go back and tackle the first two books and films :-P

**laughs** It was funny for me, being so new to the fandom, because my friends tried to explain H/Hr shippers to me and I was just like "...but I don't get it. She's clearly into Ron. And he's into her. Where does Harry come into this equation?" Which is just kinda amusing to me, since I've never ever been one to let canon limit who I've shipped. And besides, that Kloves guy? Totally a H/Hr shipper apparently :-P

Hee. Yeah, I started shipping Harry/Hermione when I was in fourth grade, 'cause it was a lot more canon in the first book than Ron/Hermione was. I was into HP before it was big (I bought Book 2 the day it came out. No lines. It was cool), so there wasn't much to go on other than H/Hr then, and I was so used to it I didn't see R/Hr. I still like it because I've never been one for UST couples, and I always thought there was lotsa subtle H/Hr and one big R/Hr thing per book.

No option most clearly expresses my situation: Have to get up super-early to fly to DC in the morning. :-( And my friend I'm visiting is an Orthodox Jew, so no Friday-night movie either. But shul is neat, so I'm not too sad. I'll definitely see it soon. Maybe with my parents over Thanksgiving.
Ah, Cedric...I'm trying desperately not to think about how the dashing Mr. Pattinson is but 19. All the Cedric icons and banners folks have been making do not aid me in this endeavor!
No worries on that score...I'll see it anyway (there are very few movies I've missed because they were spoiled). Plus, I've read the book, so there shouldn't be many sueprises other than how they pulled off various plot points. Have a great time! (BTW, I love your Cedric icon!)
I seem to have lost all enthusiasm for Harry Potter. Goblet of Fire was the last book I read (and on loan from a friend no less) and my Mom had to practically drag me to see Prisoner of Azkaban. I think she's more interested in the story than I am now...
It's sad to admit to this, but the only movies I'm looking forward to at this point in my life, now that the Star Wars saga is over, are the Chronicles of Narnia adaptations. After that, unless my tastes change, I may just never set foot in a movie theater again. I know, I'm bizarre. I admit it.
Were you in it from the get go? I just jumped on the bandwagon with the third film, so it's too early yet for me to have been burned out. But I really salute people who have been with it from the beginning of the mania.
Oh nooooo, I think it was around the time Prisoner of Azkaban was published that I finally read Sorcerer's Stone...or something. It's a bit hazy right now. Definitely not amongst the pioneering fanbase.
I have a hunch that my interests are starting one of their occasional rotation cycles...apparently I have too many interests for my mind to sustain at one time. o_O Thus, a certain number of them dwindle while others come to the forefront. I can never really tell which of them are going to end up where until it all settles; it's all very vague. :-)
