Apparently Google decided there weren't enough instant messaging platforms out there in the world for me to not be using, and they came up with their own. Plus you can apparently call your friends over the internet or something? I dunno. I got an invite from someone on my flist and downloaded the program but I haven't set it up because you know me and IM. And you know me and phones.

Well, to be honest, before this morning/last night, we hadn't really talked in a while. Livejournal has been pretty bad for me. It's made me really lazy about keeping in touch with anyone. Which I realized when I was getting ready to leave MD for school and Liz said something to me along the lines of "So I'm gonna have to comment in your journal more often if I want to talk to you, aren't I?"

I got an invite from a friend the other day and set it up. It notifies you when you have mail (like Gmail Notifier, but it does more stuff), is an IM program and, if you have a microphone, you can have voice conversations as well. Let me know if you ever do set it up. :-)

I still don't know if I'll go see them though; Switchfoot is playing the same venue a couple weeks after their concert and I really can't afford to take time out for both shows. Decisions, decisions. Though being the Muslim chick at a Switchfoot concert could get weird.

:( Happens to me too. It's way better than my job's Outlook client. That son of a bitch loves to time out after like 2 seconds on inactivity. I'll write a long message and click send, only to be greeted by a nice 404 error. And of course, my message is deleted :(
