Many, many thanks to everyone who's thought of me today! **curtseys** The emails and notes were all very much appreciated. Especially since I'm so horrible about remembering birthdays. A big, heartfelt happy birthmonth to my fellow June babies and all the fellow Geminis I've missed! ^_^
It's a bit funny, actually; on the subway today, I overheard the man sitting in front of me tell the guy he was sitting with that he was happy to be retiring today, on his 51st birthday. I couldn't resist telling him it was my birthday as well and we laughed about the coincidence. At work, I was given a gift certificate to the little place we all go for our breakfast goodies ^_^ And between [Bad username or site: cruzalicious / @ livejournal.com] (DUDE! Liz and Kenneth are gonna kill you. There go any weekend plans with them :-P And I can finally arrange to see Timeline, relatively shame-free!), [Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com] (I can't believe you remembered about the shirt! You're awesome), my brother, and Lizzie, I'm being pretty spoiled today. ♥
First movie on my queue: Revengers Tragedy. Followed up by Maurice, The Ruling Class, Wilde, Intermission, The Court Jester, and Timeline. That's pretty much everything you need to know about my taste in movies right there :-P (Throw in the discs of The L Word and X that are interspersed between those, and that's pretty much my entire fandom life in a snapshot ^_~)
Speaking of, Xe: I put a buy-it-now on those Sunday tickets and they were snatched up about 2 hours after I got confirmation of the listing :-P Turns out I've sold Orioles tickets to a Red Sox fan, so I'm officially one of those people I hate. I'll be regretting it when I'm at the game, in the bleachers (yeah, I bought two sets of tickets to that game, before ever even confirming you could go, because I'm a dumbass), trying desperately to drown out the chants of "LET'S GO RED SOX!" :-P
Is it just me, or would it kill them to make the tags thing a bit more unobtrusive at the bottom of the post there?
Okay, there's no baseball tonight (Dear ESPN, what is the point of televising games on Wednesday? I'll watch my own damn team play on Wednesday. Most teams are playing on a Wednesday. Why don't you televise a Thursday night game, since more teams are usually off on Thursdays, so people will be happy to tune in to watch whatever sorry team you're televising. Like, say, the Yankees. Thanks. [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] and I would both appreciate it.) and so I guess it's House, the DZ premiere, and something novel like reading my flist and commenting! But first, to the store for velvet cake! Oh yeah, I plan the best birthdays ^_~

SPEAKING OF THE O'S! I've been meaning to ask you this forever. Is there some big Angels/Orioles rivalry that I'm missing. Because there's that XM radio commercial with the rival baseball fans (Sox/Yanks, Giants/Dodgers) and I don't understand the part with Cal Ripken and the Angels fan in the airport. I was hoping you could shed some light on it for me. For I am a stupid Red Sox fan. :D

Not only is the Angels/Orioles thing so random, but seriously, what is with that guy's attitude? He's totally trying to stare down CAL RIPKEN. I'm sorry, maybe I'm biased, but I don't care how big a supporter you are of your home team; if you run into Cal Ripken in an airport, I don't think your reaction is gonna be to start throwing nasty looks in his direction :-P
Maybe there's some history that predates the time my family moved to Baltimore. I'll have to post that question in the Orioles comm :-P

And if you ever find out about this myserious Angels/Orioles connection, please let me know. :D

pardon me?
Because also, you had best not watch Maurice without me if you know what's good for you. Because...yes. I own the movie tie-in edition of the book! Hooray for eroticizing the lower classes!
Anyway, happy birthday, darling, and you have to let me buy you SOMETHING this weekend. Maybe I'll just have to come over to your house and abduct you and buy you a slurpee or something...I do know where you live.

i wished you a happy birthday but i did it a few minutes ago because today was kind of crazy.
tags could totally blend in better but i like the idea so i shall use them even if they kind of stick out like a sore thumb.
DZ premiere, yay! curling up with a good tv show is a most worthy way to spend your birthday. of course, hanging out with actual people is nice too. but i almost think tv is more fun, because well i am boring. =)
velvet cake is tasty, enjoy!
