Finally got around to catching up on flist stuff I missed over spring break. I am, once again, completely floored by people with flists in the hundreds. Even skipping posts takes energy, you know?
Anyhoo, snurched linkage:
via [Bad username or site: catch22girl / @ livejournal.com]: '24' addicts see their lives ticking away in real time. I was amused by the observation that "in almost every episode, some agent rips the electric cord from a table lamp [and] with one casual jerk, jams the live cord into the chest of a terrorist." Heh. Well, not every episode ^_~
via [Bad username or site: brooklinegirl / @ livejournal.com]: Last December, Stuffo placed an ad on Craig's List, inquiring into hiring the A-Team. The article documents the range of responses their post received. Hi-fucking-larious because predictably, some people did not get it. Funniest thing I've seen online in a while. It made me laugh really hard, which is not the best thing when there is crazy phlegm action going on in one's throat...
And just randomly: Motivation posters, comics style
I was so excited when I did an improptu search to see if Becket was going to be released on dvd anytime soon and came up with this. Unfortunately, I did some more digging about and it looks like they picked that date out of their ass, because there's been no official new word on the re-release since it didn't happen last year. Grr. Wtf? It makes no sense for A Lion In Winter to be on DVD, while there's no word about Becket. So annoyed. But R&GAD in TWO days! And apparently the dvd release of Cinderella got pushed up from the original 2007 release date to October of this year. I have no idea when that happened, but that's awesome.
I still haven't watched last week's Deadwood. I should do that. (And I should probably watch the last several eps of BSG sometime in the near future.)
So I caught the video for Regina Spektor's Us while I was flipping stations the other night. I'm not sure what I think of her. I did sit through the video and download the song, so I guess that says something. I guess.
Something Corporate - Konstantine (Live)
Constantine OST - The Cross Over. Instrumental from the film's score. Klaud Badelt also did The Pirates of the Caribbean score. You can definitely tell his work.
In other news, I know I'm a cover-whore, but really, eMOTIVe is an awesome cd. Two of my favorites:
A Perfect Circle - (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding. Elvis Costello cover.
A Perfect Circle - Freedom of Choice. Devo cover.
Waste not, want not link of the day:
Third Eye Blind - The Background
How awesome is the Jack Jack Attack short on The Incredibles dvd extras? I love Kari to bits. At the end there, where she's just worn out? **laughs** Poor thing. The Brad Bird & John Walker commentary track was also a lot of fun.

Gazer Beam (awwww! I really love this guy a lot, considering he doesn't have a single line in the movie. I hate that he dies.), E and Rick in the front row. Isn't that second row entirely composed of the supers who died because of their capes? Hee! It looks like Dynaguy, Stratogirl, Thunderhead, and Metaman. Heh. Cap from the set posted by [Bad username or site: scofo / @ livejournal.com] to [Bad username or site: cap_it / @ livejournal.com] recently.
And Dash's laugh when he realizes he can run on water remains one of the most perfect things in the world.

We watched Becket, Anne of a Thousand Days, errrm... some form of MacBeth that I barely remember... Excalibur... and my favorite, Taming of the Shrew.
I probably didn't appreciate Becket, but it did make me totally in love with Richard Burton. As far as movies go I like Taming of the Shrew better, but I absolutely loved him in Becket. Amazing.

BTW, I meant to say in my last comment but I got distracted. Your new layout is awesome. Good work.

I took a look after you mentioned them. So. Very. Wrong.

It's just kind of sad that after Sci-fi aired Water and 33, I downloaded the next 11 eps that weekend...and I've still managed to fall behind.
