I have a Civic, Jeff has an Elantra. I can get where you're coming from, but I love my Civic. Although it's a 2004, and they had a redesign I didn't like for the 2006es, and I don't know if they've recovered from that. (Basically, I tend to sit pretty straight, I'm not short, and I like to have space around my head, so their slopier 06 model was not good.)
On TV, are you watching FNL? The reviews that said it was back to S1 quality were right - I have not once been irritated with the show. I've been all "Oh, boys" at the characters sometimes and occasionally appropriately angry with the characters, but the stories have been good. Sometimes really good.
