So the end of that football game was kind of exciting. You know, from what I could parse of developments as the lead kept changing. Congrats to your boy, [Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com]. I don't think I can jinx in football, because I'm not invested ^_~

Also, Jered Weaver totally wins the Being Genuinely Enthused For Your Older Brother's Redemption award over Eli Manning. What the hell.

I hope Kara and Her Destiny end up getting boxed. Soon. And how! I am so over Kara Thrace. Take a page from D'Anna, whose storyline is more interesting to me, retrospectively, now that she's finally kicked the bucket.

I can't tell you how aggravated I was by the teaser for next week's ep. All the developments in those last few minutes, and the teaser really needs to be all about Lee/Kara? As ever, UGH. Because no one could possibly be more interested in a look at what will be up with Baltar, or what the Fleet will do with their Cylon prisoner, how things will go with Hera, or even the reaction this reveal that Kara's had visions related to the search for Earth. And from David Eick's blog on scifi.com, I sense I'll be better off taping the next ep and just ffwding through it to the 10 minutes of it that will be about stuff that matters to me. Fun times.

Helo and Sharon were awesome last night. And how great a moment when you realized just what they were arguing over in their quarters?

New 24 tonight. Only week two...and I don't really care. That was quick.

eta: They're doing it again! >:[

Seriously, baseball, stop trying to be so damn relevant to other sports fans all the time. I accept you and love you for what you are, you really don't need to be trying to emphasize your parallels to fucking soccer and football.

lol, I think it is POSSIBLE that Eli Manning COULD BE a little jealous? JUST MAYBE.

I SAW THAT TOO. I am like, no, baseball, you are nothing like football, other than that you have "ball" in your name. Then I read the article and was even more confused.

I think you are not wrong ^_~

Then I read the article and was even more confused.

lol, well at least you tried. I was just like "Hmm. No." **ignores**

Oh Eli. That kid cracks me up. I think most of him was rooting for the Patriots.

Yes! And then the Colts won and he was like GREAT, ONE MORE THING I WILL NEVER LIVE UP TO. Or something.

Pretty much. "I'm gonna go home and listen to emo music and make a voodoo doll of my brother."

I saw that MLB connections thing too. It's starting to become an annual thing. They could connect to a monkey in a zoo if they wanted, it would seem.

To that end, I'll link to my own post from July (http://acroarcs.livejournal.com/93013.html), where baseball does indeed connect itself to a monkey.

I figure we still have Basketball and Hockey to go, but maybe we'll be spared cause I think the Stanley Cup Finals are during baseball season, when they remember they have much more important things to talk about.

The Weaver bros totally kick sports brotherhood's ass. I wish I still had my Weaver brothers icon :(

Okay, so I watched "Rapture" last night, and yes, Kara needs to be boxed. Although I'm actually excited about Kara+Destiny, as I think back to all of the Kara storylines and the only times she's been all that interesting for me were in combination with Cain (doesn't apply) and in combination with Leoben (most certainly does apply). Lee and Kara can go frack on the exploded algae planet, I don't care. The promo irritated me as well.

They got all of the interesting people in one place! That is the truly awesome part of this episode, that Gaius and Caprica are on Galactica now. And Hera. And that Boomer is most definitely not.

I like being confirmed in my opinion that D'Anna was bonkers, although I'm a little frustrated but not at all surprised that we didn't get to see who any of the Final Five were. Someone she knew, huh? And apologized to. I have a hard time getting my head around a Three apologizing to anyone, so.

"I would do it again." That was certainly the worst possible thing she could've said to the Cavil.

I didn't get what Sharon and Helo were arguing about at the beginning until he shot her. "What are they arguing about? It must be horrible. Helo's going to cry! Why are you making him... oh, well shit." And then he was going to rip Roslin's head off. Which was excellent.

If this show had no Lee/Kara quadrangle thing, it would quite possibly be perfect. Grrr.

and yes, Kara needs to be boxed.

Validation, yay.

Though, if it does mean we'll get some substantial Leoben scenes, I suppose I could suck it up and deal with Kara getting yet more screentime.

Lee and Kara can go frack on the exploded algae planet, I don't care. The promo irritated me as well.

I feel like I don't know ANYONE who cares about that storyline, or sees it as adding to the show in any valuable way. I am almost tempted to listen to the podcasts and see if I can gather some idea as to why Ron Moore and co. keep dragging it out and inflicting it on us. I get frustrated, thinking back to how much more interesting a character Lee used to be. Even Kara occasionally had her moments. Her fucked-upness, whether expressed in how she treats Lee/Anders or her pilots, is just not all that interesting to me, though the writers seem in love with it.

And that Boomer is most definitely not.

Man, what a storyarc for Boomer! I love how we've gotten to see such different fates for many of the Sixes and Eights.

although I'm a little frustrated but not at all surprised that we didn't get to see who any of the Final Five were. Someone she knew, huh?

I have one BSG comm on my f-list and it's been pretty funny how people are pouring over the promo images of D'Anna with the Final Five for clues. But I'm with those who think that the people used in the promo images are stand-ins. There's also a camp pouring over the D'Anna eps and making a list of every character she's had contact with. Oh, fandom.

"I would do it again." That was certainly the worst possible thing she could've said to the Cavil.

I know! As soon as she said that, I just about face-palmed. But I was ready for that leg of the Final Five story to be over.

I didn't get what Sharon and Helo were arguing about at the beginning until he shot her.

So. Awesome.

And then he was going to rip Roslin's head off. Which was excellent.

And would have been WELL DESERVED. I couldn't believe her when she started to open her mouth. And I loved Adama's body language there as he put his hand out to hold Helo back. I'm really glad Adama didn't know.

If this show had no Lee/Kara quadrangle thing, it would quite possibly be perfect. Grrr.

Maybe next week will be the end of it. MAYBE. Hope springs eternal.
