Game: Oakland Athletics @ Baltimore Orioles
Date: April 7, 2005.
Length: 3 hours and 14 minutes.
File Type, Size: wmv, 490 mbs.
Notes: Dan Haren's first start for the Oakland Athletics. I prolly coulda gone to this game. But this was back when I still thought West Coast baseball was lame. Silly girl. Erik Bedard starts for the Orioles. Like that one Oakland/Anaheim game, this broadcast is dark, but what can you do. Also, this game was surprisingly hard to watch. Mazilli + Sosa + Palmeiro = Ugh. Elrod = Aww :(

Game: Oakland Athletics @ Seattle Mariners
Date: April 21, 2005.
Length: 2 hours and 37 minutes.
File Type, Size: wmv, 397 mbs.
Notes: Harden start #3. I like how Harden's starts move pretty fast. But he got an early lead and took all the fun out of it by being a fascist and striking people out. Ellis had a good defensive game, though, so that was fun. Oh, and the part where Harden got himself into a wee jam late.

Clips - not too many from these games, though that may have been because I was listening more than watching.
4/07 - (wmv, 3mb) - Pregame teaser that makes the Harden pregamer look like an oscar-winning masterpiece. For some reason the FSN people thought some dude with a porn voice and a cliche-spewing Curt Young would be the best way to sell A's fans on Dan Haren.
4/07 - (wmv, 2mb) - And now you know why Rich looked like a mountain man in that A's Mag pic.
4/07 - (wmv, 1mb) - Not related to any of the boys, but this Baseball 101 promotion is kind of obnoxious, right? I mean, yay to hanging out with the boys and all, but how patronizing.
4/07 - (wmv, 2mb) - Rich may have stuttered a lot in his Pepsi Spotlight, but at least he sounded conscious. Sounds like they dragged poor Dan in front of a camera at the crack of noon or something.
4/07 - (wmv, 2mb) - I don't think the A's announcers approve of Dan's living situation.
4/07 - (wmv, 3mb) - Jay Gibbons makes people laugh :( And the A's eventually score a bazillion runs.
4/07 - all clips - (zip, 13 mb)
4/21 - (wmv, 2mb) - Pepsi Spotlight. Rich likes Seattle. Aw, and he can talk about it without verbal stumblage. For the most part.
4/21 - (wmv, 2mb) - Rich is zen! Or something.
4/21 - (wmv, 1mb) - The A's announcers know what you're thinking.
4/21 - (wmv, 3mb) - Heh, the A's announcers can call what's coming about as well as I can.
4/21 - all clips - (zip, 8mb)
[Bad username or site: spluckle / @ livejournal.com], according to [Bad username or site: trailer_spot / @ livejournal.com] who sees all and knows much, the next Spidey 3 trailer will premiere at 10pm (EST) on Thursday on MTV.
[Bad username or site: offspeed / @ livejournal.com], I haven't forgotten about those Wilson pics - I'll poke around tonight before bed.
I find this whole thing where the Mets have apparently expressed interest in Mulder kinda intriguing. I mean, what's that about? Wherever Mulder ends up, he's gonna end up working closely with the pitching coach for a long while and he and Peterson kinda don't get on. I mean, Urban said it, so it must be true. Giants are an interesting possibility. Ew to the Dodgers and the Pads, though. He's pretty dead to me if he signs with Arizona, I don't care how much he loves the golf there.

I was all set to not care about Spider Man 3 because I thought the first one was okay and hated the second one, but then they had to go and put Topher Grace in it. Well played, Spider Man, well played.

(Wow, I think you might be the only person I know who strongly disliked the second one. I confess, I thought the first one was okay, and pretty much loved the second one. Except for the excess of Mary Jane.)

The trailer is set for release online at the same time here (http://www.ifilm.com/presents/spiderman3). The site is like MTV owned by Viacom and so far not known for high-quality files but we'll see how it goes.

But I was amused at the "no sex for you tonight, dufus" look B-Rob had on his face after that. Still. Why'd he do that? ;__;

Lame West coast baseball and lame East coast team is an unappealing combination. :-P But you could had gone to see Erik pitch...

I was reading a discussion about this last night. There are some people who think that no one else is going to be able to help him but Rick, and that Mark should recognize that and take the opportunity if it is offered to him. I was undecided about this, but after watching what happened this season, I'd have to agree.
Giants are an interesting possibility.
I know that there are people in the Bay Area that are both A's and Giants fans, but I never have understood how that can be. To me that's like saying that you are both a Cubs and White Sox fan, or a Mets and Yankees fan. I know for sure that I would not want him to play in SF.
Playing in Arizona I can see. He lives there. He would be home most of the year, which (presumably) will make him happy. I want him to be happy so I'd approve of it. :-) (and as far as the baseball goes, the Diamondbacks could field a decent team next season, so it wouldn't be an embarrasement playing for them)

Ahahaha. Yes.
But you could had gone to see Erik pitch...
You know, I've never been an Erik Bedard fan! He's never been very accessible to the Baltimore media, and last year there were more than a few calls that we trade him while he still had value because there was a perception that he had an attitude problem. That he couldn't get himself motivated to pitch to the best of his ability, because of the kind of team Baltimore is. He pitched well for us much of the time, but I never warmed up to him.
I kinda wish he would open up to the fans/community in Baltimore more and show the looser side of him that comes across in Bronson's video diaries of Japan. That Erik was such a surprised to me! He actually seems like a guy I could root for.
I was undecided about this, but after watching what happened this season, I'd have to agree.
Theory being that Peterson was with Mulder when he first came up and he'll be able to zero in on what's wrong and get Mark's mechanics back to what they were? I do remember in Aces that business about Peterson taking the players in for all those tests so he could 'get the car running right', or whatever that line was...
As long as Mulder stays away from the Orioles, man.
He would be home most of the year, which (presumably) will make him happy. I want him to be happy so I'd approve of it. :-)
Aw.

I seem to recall another lefty that had the same problem in the beginning of his career. :-D Could be a southpaw thing.
It would be great if he decided to show that he's personable. That would be trouble for me, though. I already had developed a thing for him, even as I watched him humorlessly take some spankings, (especially his rookie year) What am I going to do if he actually starts showing a personality?

I guess so. Sounds to me like that is what his agent is claiming (http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-1/116305566517070.xml&coll=1).
I'll like to know when and how these two made up. :-P But I'll be happy if they do get to work together again. I think Peterson can really help Mark return to form.
