Ugh. I cannot sleep. **laments**
I saw Curious George yesterday and I absolutely loved it. If you've been thinking about seeing it, I very much encourage you to do so, especially while it's still in theatres. It's full of such color and love and joy - it was completely adorable. It's also one of those films that plays to adults while remaining very much a kids movie, which I always appreciate. I was pretty impressed with Will Ferrell's voicework, considering the fact that 95% of the time, he's pretty much talking to himself and reacting off an animal, as opposed to a person. David Cross (Junior) also does some really funny voicework. I went with [Bad username or site: rabbytt / @ livejournal.com] and I think we were having the most fun out of anyone there. Or, at least, we were the most vocal about it :-P I definitely laughed out loud a few times, and I very much look forward to owning it on dvd. I think it'll be one of my comfort-flicks, like Much Ado About Nothing, and The Station Agent.
Also, I'm not really a Jack Johnson person, but thumbs up on his work for this film. They couldn't have found a sound more perfectly suited. (I especially liked Upside Down, which played over the opening sequence.)
Thanks to everyone who gave me lj recs! It's funny to me that lj should seem so small a world - half of them were people I currently have friended (heh) or had friended at one point and cut. But I also got a couple new names to check out, so I thank you. If anyone else wants to rec me some journals I should check out, please feel free. ([Bad username or site: karabair / @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: silverakira / @ livejournal.com] both gave me a ton of names 6 months ago when I did this, and I don't think I ever thanked you - thanks!).
Looking forward to Japan v. U.S. later today, and I should try to get the BSG finale in. I've seen something of a short spectrum of reaction, not necessarily of the positive. Vextatious, really. I'm blaming it all on the longer season.
[Bad username or site: shadow_shimmer / @ livejournal.com] is watching the first season of Deadwood. I'm so envious. That was such a great experience; I had no idea of what to expect from the show and it just kept me guessing every ep. I find myself really missing the characters, bastards that they were. Ah well. Three months and counting. **glares at The Sopranos**

OT: [Bad username or site: angisageek / @ livejournal.com] was asking about good baseball blogs (http://angisageek.livejournal.com/423451.html) yesterday, and one of the teams she needs a good blog for is the Cards. I figured you might maybe know. Lord knows I don't do the baseball blog thing.
