So, I'm trying to get used to iTunes, but I just don't know. I do like the search feature. But I'm just so used to Winamp. Winamp loves me, it knows how to do the things I like. iTunes doesn't make me happy. I think I'll just leave it to the cool kids and stick with what works.
Common - Testify
I love the sample on this track and Kayne's produced a really compelling beat. He's got such an amazing ear for what works. Oh, and Common tells a good story ^_~
Esthero - Wikked Lil' Grrrls
I'm the high pimpstress, I'm honeybrown / I'm the baddest bitch to ever hit this town / Cornbread woman, yo ho and a bottle of yum / I'm gonna have a party with my body, do ya wanna come?
[Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com], if her new album sounds like this? I'm joining you in the fanclub. I can't stop listening to this one.
Tegan & Sara - Monday Monday Monday
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.
The Decemberists - California One / Youth and Beauty Brigade
In the words of my friend Liz: I often find myself listening to that record at work and sort of tuning it out until all of a sudden here comes the end and I'm like, "yes! I WILL join the Youth and Beauty Brigade!"
Thrice - The Artist In The Ambulance (live)
I know that there's a difference between sleight of hand / and giving everything you have / There's a line drawn in the sand, I'm working up the will to cross it
The Rolling Stones - Laugh, I Nearly Died
This was used over the last few minutes of an ep of Supernatural and it's been stuck in my head since.
John Mayer - Comfortable (live w/ alt intro)
She thinks I can't see the smile that she's faking / and poses for pictures that aren't being taken / I loved you - grey sweat pants, no makeup, so perfect
This is my favorite version of my favorite John Mayer song. I think I share it every couple months, but I can't help it. I love this song.
It pleases me that Em has finally overtaken Gwen Stefani in yesterday's poll. I was worried about you people for a minute. He's still trailing Adam Levine but that's fine (I don't think Em's worked with Kayne, so Adam has him trumped on that account).

P.S. Could you e-mail me your address? I'd like to send you a Xmas card =)

I don't have your email addy, so I went back to your original X-mas card post and left my addy there in the screened comments. I usually don't reply to those things because I never send out holiday cards so I feel bad asking anyone to send me mail ^_~ But since you asked so nicely :-P

I like Any Given Thursday as something to be played in the background, but it's not my favorite.

(heh. I DID cry the first time I heard hims sing "Comfortable" live. I am such a girl)
Hey, it's allowed ^_^ I'm pretty sure I've cried a couple times over it, and I'm just listening to a recording. (it doesn't help that I tend to listen to John when I'm feeling morose.)

'Wikked Lil Grrrls' could be from the soundtrack of Triplets of Belleville. Well, hypothetically speaking. :D
Any idea where that clarinet hook is from?

How funny - I had the exact same thought when I first heard it ^_^
I don't know where that hook is from, but I do plan to buy the CD; it sounds familiar, so the sample should be credited in the liner notes.

I'm an iTunes girl (not that I have a choice since I have an iPod) and I do love it dearly. Though I hate that it imports songs in that stupid exclusive m4a format that only works with iTunes. And I can't figure out a way to convert them.

:-P Aww, I'm honored. I hope at least some of them are keepers. What kind of stuff do you listen to anyway? You never seem to fill in the Current Music field. I remember you mentioning that you'd bought the FOB cd, but otherwise, I really don't have much of an idea.
Btw, do you usually download everything when I put music up? Cause in that case, I could start adding a zip file when I share more than, I dunno, five songs or something.

Thrice. I'm gonna snag that one, 'cause, hey. It's Thrice. Thanks!

I find myself a big fan of Thrice's lyrics more so than their music, but every once in a while, I stumble across a song that works for me entirely. That's always fun. Hope you like!
