To the generous soul who recently gifted me some paid time: thanks :) I don't know when I'll get around to it, but I'm looking forward to doing an overhaul of my layout.

While I wasn't looking, the Republicans named Michael Steele (former MD Lt. Gov.) as the chair of their National Committee. Steele is the first African American elected to that position. And last month Colorado saw the only two African American members of its General Assembly sworn in as the heads of both chambers. Which - you guessed it - makes them the first African Americans to head both chambers of a state legislature...ever. So, that's different. (One day stuff like this will happen and it won't be newsworthy, but today is not that day.)

You're welcome - you were able to play it? I can never remember if it was you or someone else who repeatedly had issues with videos that I ripped from mlb.com.

About the layout change, I'm not positive. I know I want to change the header, update the mood theme, and revamp the quote box entries and box of fandoms. Maybe get rid of the box of fandoms entirely. I'm also thinking of change the color scheme and going with a new layout theme - I've been using some variation or another of Component for a long time.

That must be it - whenever I have gone to provide something to another user (paid time, extra user pics, etc.), there has been a checkable option for identifying the purchase as a gift.

You're very sweet :) Truly, I haven't minded reverting to a basic account, especially since they allow formally paid users to keep all of their layout customizations. The rub is just that you can't make any changes to any of those customizations once you're no longer a paid user.

Yes! Two or three years ago, I was much more familiar with html and layout customization coding. But I haven't used that part of my brain in so long, I seem to have forgotten it. I'm holding out hope that when I finally do sit down and start fiddling - some of it will come back. But I definitely have to be in the mood to even tackle the task.
