Alright, so recall, last week, the snarky statement by Ray Fosse about Rich Harden? ("..to be four games back in the West, still right there, very much, and a whole summer of baseball left. People like Rich Harden ready to return. I think the A's are in a good spot." "As long as he doesn't hurt his elbow throwing those sunflower seeds.")
I give you this news release from the Oakland Athletics:

Prior to today's game against the Cleveland Indians, the Oakland Athletics activated right-handed pitcher Esteban Loaiza from the 15-day disabled list and placed pitcher Rich Harden on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to June 5) with a sprained ligament in his right elbow.

Now, see. Tempting the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. Never fails.

Well, at least he's not a Cub. I mean, if he's having this much luck with the DL as an A [this season], can you imagine him with a club that's known for having a megaton injury prone players/pitchers..?

Oh Richie. I think he needs a hug before everyone sends him off as dead again, don't you?

I did have the thought that he's already become the A's version of Mark Prior/Kerry Wood, you know? Every time he pitches, you hear Cy Young at least a dozen times, and then every time you turn around, he's on the DL.

I think he needs a hug before everyone sends him off as dead again, don't you?

Aww, no one's sending him off as dead! He just tends to disappear long enough that we start to wonder >.> But sure, he could probably use a hug. Or a package of good vibes. Whichever you have to spare, after taking care of your own boys ^_~
