Thanks to [Bad username or site: kmousie / @ livejournal.com] who put way more effort than I did into tracking down Belafonte's We Make Love and shared a sample found online. Apparently the universe was feeling kindly toward me, as [Bad username or site: trailer_spot / @ livejournal.com] managed to track down an mp3 of the full song. You guys are both way too nice to me!

In other pressing news of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE: Angie's preggers. Go Team Jolie. Now tie the knot already, kids. Or I suppose y'all could just be the Russell/Hawn of our generation.

Saw Memoirs of A Geisha. Pretty movie. I kind of crush on Ken Watanabe. I loved the score. I don't really have much else to say about it. Remember back in the day how I'd write those insanely long reviews after I saw a movie? What was the point of all that? I dunno. We got trailers for Tristan & Isolde, Last Holiday, Marie Antoinette (yo, a big WTFF to this trailer), American Dreamz (every time I see this trailer, I want to **face-palm** at the terrorists in the hot tub), and Dreamgirls (first time, and I knew what it was TWO NOTES IN. Ash and Katie did not seem as excited. It's okay, though. I still win). The last movie I saw with Beyonce in it was Austin Powers 2, but I suppose I will have to bite the bullet.

Ash, I forgot to give you The Hitchhiker's Guide...; I'll stick it in your hanging file. It's actually the 5 stories in one book, but it's not that heavy, so hopefully that's cool. If you have Mulan Memoirs..., may I borrow it?

Also, for the record, Shanghai Triad was the movie I knew Gong Li from. Which has kind of a similar story, except I guess not really. There was a young woman and she had to sleep with some guys she didn't want to sleep with. Drama ensues. And the narrator of the movie is a young boy who works in her household or something. And the end was way more bloody. I dunno, it was on IFC and I was half asleep. I only mention it because I have the soundtrack to that movie, and it was pretty kicking.
