A few quick (spoilery!) thoughts on End of the Tunnel, which is a funny name for an ep that falls right in the middle of your season, no?

-- ENSIGN RO! I heart Michelle Forbes. Lynne totally got screwed over on 24 a few years back. I'm still sore about that shit.

-- If Not!Kellerman (what the fuck is this guy's name? Kellerman said it tonight and I forgot it already) Danny wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest under that bulky ass jacket, then he deserved to die.

-- I love that Not!Kellerman Danny tried to appeal to his partner's sense of fidelity and friendship...when Kellerman's holding a statement in his hand that implicates him in the murders of like a dozen people. That's fucking hilarious. I would have shot Danny just for trying to pull that card on me AFTER RATTING MY ASS OUT.

-- I also love that the writers/director tried to draw the moment out like we were supposed to believe there was any chance in hell Kellerman wasn't gonna pull the trigger. A big Whatever to the idea that Kellerman even has the capacity for remorse. The man has been killing innocent people from day one; I'm supposed to believe he has any compunction about killing a man who tried to screw him over? When Danny shot Lisa, Kellerman told him, "She made the choice, not you." Picking up the phone and trying to get help when a man put a gun to her son's head was enough in his mind to mark a woman for death, so again, whatever to the idea that he would get all emotional about having to kill Danny once Danny turned. I don't care how long they've known each other.

-- That being said, I can't decide if he was lying about Allison or not. The murder of a Secret Service agent's entire family would have to send up some red flags he and the VP couldn't quash on their own.

-- And Steadman's not dead? They've killed all these people...to help a guy shake an indictment? There aren't easier buttons to push to make an indictment not happen? There aren't easier ways to disappear a guy than to fake his murder and kill a dozen people trying to cover it up? 'The World's Most Baffling Conspiracy' indeed.

-- C-Note has a name! I can't remember what the fuck it is, but he has a name! Awesome. And his wife thinks he's in the military. How in the hell did he manage to swing that? Doesn't she wonder about his pay? Hmmm.

-- Upon reflection, I really like the scene between Fernando and Michael at the beginning of the ep, after the others have said they want to make a run for it without Lincoln. It was a first time in a long while where I felt that they were on equal footing, and they're just talking, man to man. I'm not one of those people who thinks those two are BFF or anything, they're definitely using each other, but for a moment I kind of forgot all that.

-- A big, big WHAT-THE-FUCK-EVER to that maintenance worker noticing the problem with the pipe in the medical wing and fixing it within a matter of a few hours. I have a hard time believing a guy that industrious is working in the state penal system as a handyman. Wouldn't he have to inform someone of the problem, and then get the okay to fix it, and then put in a requisition order for the part, and you know, other things that would have taken him more than a couple hours?

-- So there are what? 11 eps left? And 12 hours to go until Lincoln's execution? What are the chances we get the remaining eps set in something approximating real time? ^_~

-- Veronica used a baseball metaphor. I knew there was a reason I could stand her.

-- Is it wrong of me to like it when Michael gets all flustered and emotional? Because I totally do. The argument in the courtyard with C-Note and T-Bag, for a moment he was human! Don't get me wrong, I like cool, calculating Michael. But I also like seeing what's under that facade. One of my favorite moments in the series to date is in the Doc's office after he lost his toes and in the midst of trying to keep it together while quietly freaking the fuck out, he brings his balled fists to his eyes. Or similarly, after MayTag is killed and Michael, covered in his blood, stumbles back to his cell and just sits, trying to compartmentalize it and move on.

-- Hmm. As far as cliff-hangers go...I must admit, I'm not really feeling all on the edge of my seat about what's gonna happen next. Except that I can't fucking believe they didn't let us know if John was gonna make it or not. That's the only thing I wanted to know, damn it! (Or did they tell us he'd died and I missed it? I just remember Fernando calling and not getting any information.)

March sounds a mite bit better than May...but both of them are FAR OFF AS FUCK.

So Prison Break will run into baseball season, but how fortuitous that it falls on a Monday when my boys are usually off or traveling ^_~

I doubt it will be on Mondays because, hopefully, that's when 24 will be on.

Danny? I thought he was shot in the head.

Man, the name Kellerman will always make me think of H:LOTS

They could pair them and that would be awesome! (But I thought 24 was being shifted to Tuesdays this season?)

Danny? I thought he was shot in the head.

Was he? I thought he took the bullet in the chest and I was shaking my head at Kellerman for not going for the head shot. But I was also organizing notecards at the time.

**laughs** That was my same reaction when I started watching the show ^_^

If 24 is shifted to tuesdays, where are they putting House?

But I was also organizing notecards at the time.
Ah well, I wasn't paying attention either

Actually, my bad - I just checked the Jan 2006 schedule. It's House that's shifting nights, to Mondays at 8, before 24. I knew I'd head something about a shift, somewhere. I'm all about inaccuracy and vagueness ^_~

I'm not sure what that means for Prison Break's return in March then. How annoying. It vexes me. I'm terribly vexed.

Ah well, I wasn't paying attention either

**laughs** We're the best fans ever :-P

AHHH. House before 24, my dad is going to flip out. He has band from 7:30-9. HA.

It's not until March, so I am not worried.

**laughs** We're the best fans ever :-P
We are SO awesome! go us.

You know, I've watched the scene 5 times now, and I still can't tell for sure where Kellerman shoots Danny. Which I'm sure was the intention of TPTB. Grr. We get a close up of Kellerman aiming his weapon, and he's holding the gun high, but pointed at a rather sharp downwards angle (and Danny's not THAT much shorter than him). Then there's a wide shot immediately after Kellerman discharges his weapon and he does appear to be aiming a bit high and his gun is level with Danny's head...but Danny's knees have buckled at that point, so presumably with him standing straight up, the gun's aim would have been at something lower than his head.

And I didn't see a wound in or near his temple in that shot of him from Veronica's POV crouched behind the car, and the show to date has been pretty generous with people bleeding from serious wounds. And I swear I see him still breathing.

Damn it. **laughs** I'm kind of annoyed now. Stupid show.

I want him to be alive, too. I mean, he has to give all that information to Veronica before he dies. Otherwise what's the point of the show?

*looks hopeful*

Hey, at least we know that it wasn't our not paying attention that made us not sure -- it was the show!

I actually tried to watch it but I got a "no signal" sign on my TV until like 5 minutes before it was over. Nice.

Dude, you can't just jump in 13 eps into the show! Getting here is 75% of the fun ^_^ The show's off the schedule entirely for the next month I believe, but I'm happy to burn the two hour pilot to a cd-r and send it to you. That way you can watch, decide if the show's for you and if you want to bother with torrents and the like. (The torrents are really active and speedy for this show, btw. I downloaded 9 eps in the span of a day while I was home.)

Wouldn't mind seeing the pilot but it's been reaired a zillion times, so I'm sure it'll be on again, right?

I'm not that bothered - my tv viewing consists of a daily dose of That 70s Show at the moment. Mostly catching up on a lot of reading.

Also, I was able to rewatch the Cards/Boston series from this June. And when I say the series, I mean the two games we won. (Still haven't started on any baseball compilation dvds...) I think I'll watch the All Star game next, just for shits & giggles.

This episode totally made me fall in love with Michael, for the reasons you mentioned. I was so impressed that he could show an emotion other than Intense Stare.

He never bores me, but it's certainly nice when he mixes it up a little. I really enjoyed the first 15 or so minutes of this episode especially.
