I was making a character mix for someone when I got to that oh for fuck's sake...I should just start over point. But, having already put together a cd's worth of songs, I'll post the first try here, for those who are always game for some music.

Love Is No Big Truth - (rar, 89mb, 1:19mins)

Looks like wherever he ends up, Mark and his busted shoulder won't be starving )

Off the Freedom Writers soundtrack, and getting a jump on MLK Day:
Common - I Have A Dream
So, I imagine this is not the first hiphop song to ever sample Martin Luther King, Jr, but still, fun times. I like the hook to this song, I like the chorus, and I love the beat. And Common's lyrics are good, as usual.

And one for Barry William:
Mates of State - California (Phantom Planet cover)
California, here we come / right back where we started from

And another one I can't sit still to:
Outkast - Call The Law (feat. Janelle Monae)

And because I am nothing if not predictable:
Death Cab - The New Year

Mediafire now tells you how many times a file has been downloaded, officially giving it all the benefits of Sendspace, but without that irritating limit of one download at a time, so I don't think I'll be using SS much anymore. (But you can always let me know if I upload something in particular you want, [Bad username or site: offspeed / @ livejournal.com], and I'll re-up it elsewhere.)

If you're going out, be safe and have a good night ^_~

zomg! Tickets for a Relient K show at the Norva go on sale today! Making this the first time in forever that I grew interested in a band before, and not after, it was time to buy tickets to see them local.

Pam, have you seen them live? You are, like, my resident expert in scrawny white boys in ill-fitting clothes who flail across stages. Would a nonChristian be very uncomfortable at one of their shows? I can handle the occasional bit of praising the Lord, but if they're gonna start testifying and all in the middle of the concert...

[Bad username or site: sensefille / @ livejournal.com], you've seen them live too, yeah? Worth $20?

I figure if they play I So Hate Consequences, Chapped Lips..., and Who I Am Hates Who I've Been, that's worth $20 right there.

Unrelated to the above, but it's really something how listening to Death Cab play Crooked Teeth live has completely turned me around on this song. I think it's my favorite off Plans now.

Oh, and [Bad username or site: belle1446 / @ livejournal.com]: (43mb, mp3) - Aimee Mann on KCRW promoting Lost In Space (08.27.02). Set was The Moth, Humpty Dumpty, Save Me (off Magnolia OST), Lost in Space, Calling It Quits (off Bachelor No.2), Wise Up (off Magnolia OST), Pavlov's Bell.
(65mb, zip) for Alex, since Mediafire hates you. (re-uploaded)

or, individual tracks )

Who broke sendspace? :O

++ Do people still enjoy Panic!ATD, like when they first dropped? Because I was very into them last semester and now I would really like them to go away. A little.

People I kinda want to see in concert, but can't so much: Timberlake/Pink in March, Fall Out Boy in January, Aimee this week in Richmond. Alas. Sister Hazel was in town this past weekend, which yeah, how did I resist? ;) I got an email notification last week that Thursday's comingt the Norva in late January and I'm back and forth on going. Tickets are only $18 which is of the good. But I only really know/like 6 songs of theirs, and most of those off War All The Time. And then I don't even know about that whole crowd. Okay I'm not really back and forth on going; I'm not gonna go. But I thought about it. Nothing personal, boys.

Is Dallas Green back with Alexisonfire?

++ Zito has made the Mets his collective bitch. Their front office is flying out to Cali to see him today. Classic. "No, I know what New York looks like. You come here and tell me you think I'm pretty."

I mean, I still hope they don't budge too much on the 70mil offer. But Barry William makes me laugh.

++ In case you were wondering, Beyonce's Irreplaceable is just as annoying in Spanish as it is in English.

++ [Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com]: And the fact that you're falling in love with The Timberlake all over kind of cracks me up. You'll deny it sure, but I just know you're crafting a shrine for dude in the back of your closet...right next to the ones for Jeter and Tom Welling.

>:[ First of all, Tom Welling? When have I...ever? NEVER. That's when. And I just really need to not watch when people I dislike are gonna be on SNL. Because they inevitably win me over a little. (Number of times 'Christmas In A Box' was viewed yesterday? Approximately 157.) Ah well. I can hope for Justin to return to pissing me the fuck off in short order. Derek Jeter certainly did. I have no shrine for the Yankee Asshole Who Leaves Teammates Out To Dry And Then Keeps Denying That's What He's Doing Instead Of Just Shutting Up And Holding His Personal Grudge Quietly. I assure you.

[Bad username or site: belle1446 / @ livejournal.com] asked for Aimee's Forgotten Arm promo appearance on KCRW: individual song uploads )

My first day free and clear of school stuff, so I told myself I would finally clean the apartment, because it's been a mess for about a month now. Like, an i'mpullingshoesoutofmybedwhenIgotosleep mess. So. Yes. Of course, that probably just means I will find the time and inspiration to start scanning A's magazines >.>

(I had to blow the dust off trusty old Semagic. Because. Just. LJ needs to not debut modifications during exams period, maybe. Or during the holiday season when people are already like suicidal and nerves are on edge and shit. Debut stuff on January 1st! And people will be all hey, cool stuff for the new year. Or something. But I'm no marketing major.)

But moving on! Aimee Mann was on Conan last night! [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] isn't familiar with her stuff, so I uploaded just a few of my favorites as a sampler: (24mb, zip). Five songs: Video (KCRW performance), That's How I Knew This Story Would Break My Heart, Little Bombs, That's Just What You Are, The Scientist (live Coldplay cover). Yes, The Forgotten Arm is my favorite Aimee album :P And I feel like I should say Wise Up is not included in that five favorites only because I've already sent it to her in cd form.

Seeing Aimee reminded me she had that Christmas cd out, so I checked to see if she was touring in support of it. And she is! And she's gonna be in Virginia for two shows next week! But tickets are pricey...too steep for a Christmas show. Good for her though; I didn't realize she was big enough to charge real money ^_~

Roch wrote today:
Anyone else find it interesting, and pretty gutsy, that Mark Mulder wants a one-year contract so he can increase his value and hit the free-agent market again next year?

You'd think a guy who's such a health question would welcome a multi-year deal, but he doesn't lack confidence.

lol. Such a health question. Amused, and I can sorta see his point, if I squint, but I don't think it's terribly surprising. I mean, when I was trying to talk Bri off the ledge earlier in the year, we always said well, he'll just have to play on the cheap next year and show he's healthy and do the free agent dance next off-season. It doesn't really make sense for him to take a crap multiyear offer from anyone - did I miss something? Did the Orioles guarantee him 11 million a year for the next 3 years or something? If he's turning down something like that, then maybe, yeah, you say, the guy's got balls. He could be another Pavano for all he knows. Best to take that kind of money and run. But what can teams possibly be offering him, even long term, when they can't know how he'll come back from surgery? It's no different than what Nomar did, or what Big Frank did, just this past year.

Things People Say To Me That Still Crack Me Up Days Later ~
[Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com]: so it would seem that through persistence and dedication, that you've crafted a drama free f-list
to which I say BOOOOOO!
Did you know the original (well, stateside, anyway) Yellow Ranger died in a car crash in 2001? I feel like people should tell me these things.

From the better late than never files- Aries Spears' rap impressions. My brother showed me this over Turkey Break and I was just watching it again and it's still remarkable. I think his Jay Z and his Snoop are the best, but my jaw dropped several times; he's very spot-on with some of the vocal nuances of each rapper. Hee. I was kinda reminded of the effortless impressions Sammy Davis Jr used to do of swing and jazz greats. (I know, hush my mouth.)

I've been digging some of the Alice Smith stuff I downloaded recently, so I checked to see if she was gonna be in the area - she JUST played the Norva two weeks ago with Citizen Cope, and she was in Maryland over Thanksgiving break. Story of my musical fandom life :'(

Berkeley Place had a post last week of No Doubt rarities grabbed from here; some of the acoustic stuff and the remixes are good! I'd have linked to the BK post but there was this totally unnecessary and clearly photoshopped image of Gwen flashing chest and I don't even know what that's about. I hear she's still inclined to record with the band, which makes me happy, because I'm not really a fan of her solo stuff.

GWFA has up yet another good cover of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). This one by Patrick Wolf. He also has the Placebo cover if you don't have that yet.

Best of/favorites/top tracks of the year lists are popping up on the music blogs; always fun. Some stuff to check out, if you're in the market for new music:
++ Yellow Stereo says that's not even his final list...
++ Sneak Moves posted faves, and there's even some hiphop mixed in.
++ ...and Duke over at Late Greats saved me work by putting a post of 'Best Of' links together.

Saw this fun meme while poking around old lj entries, so I'm thieving like a thieving thing. The following links are to clips of the beginnings of 24 different songs. The idea is to see how many you recognize and can identify. Not screening comments, because it's really not that serious.

Individual clips 'neath this cut ) or alternately, you can download this zip (2mb), which contains all the clips. Clips are about 5-8 seconds, which still seems like far too long, but if people find this too easy at 5 seconds, I'll take it down to 1 or 2 next time. If I ever do this again, that is.

Engaged in a bit of retail therapy last week. Some girls buy clothes. Some girls buy shoes. Some girls buy chocolate. I....spent the GNP of a small island nation on old A's magazines >.>

I plan to scan the hell out of them, but scanning/resizing/cropping/uploading kinda takes a while, so it'll probably just be an issue here, an issue there when I need a break from studying/writing papers.

But, for starters:
Alex and Eric Chavez. Alex, like Jamie Kotsay, is cuter in pictures than she seems in live video.
Z and Eric. Gah. Stupid Zito. You're just so...stupid. You ruin everything.
Mark. I think I've seen this scanned before, on Jen's Baseball Page, maybe? But um. Here it is. Again.
Urban Legend: Chavvy missed in many ways. AW. Seriously.
Urban Legend: A's father figure knows best. Okay, in light of all the criticism of Macha since he was fired? This is hilarious. Or sad.
Urban Legend: Will the real Mark Mulder please stand up? If you've read Aces, you're seen these same sentiments expressed before, in the same way. If you haven't read Aces...what's keeping you? Consider this a sample.

Also, if you are a member of [Bad username or site: ysi_leftovers / @ livejournal.com], I very much recommend the two mixes posted by [Bad username or site: doublefourtime / @ livejournal.com] last week.
Mix #1: we go together | a friendship mix.
Mix #2: god help us! help us lose our minds! | a "spiritual" mix.

I feel like I should know the answer to this, but how in the world did Bobby Crosby win ROY hitting .239 in 2004? Was the rookie class in the AL that year that Harden lame?

(I really have no memory of how that went down because I spent almost all of 2004 not watching baseball that didn't involve my stupid Orioles or the Yankees and the Red Sox attempting to beat the shit out of each other.)

To make up for the fact that I am asking a question I could google the answer to if I weren't brain dead right now, I give you music!

Jesus Christ - Brand New
I made dinner from a recipe on the side of a can of diced tomatoes, and it was surprisingly good ^_^ Of course, I suppose it's pretty hard for anything topped by a cup and a half of mozzarella/asiago cheese to suck...

Made plans to see Babel with a friend next weekend...so anxious! I want to see Stranger Than Fiction as well, but I'm all atwitter about Babel. I was trying to temper my expectations, but the reviews have been terrific. Yay.

Oh, speaking of movies - if you haven't heard, DeepDiscountDVD is running their 20% off sale again. Same coupon codes as always it seems, NYTIMES is the one I use. Sale goes until the 18th. I don't really have anything I want to get; I can't buy any more tv shows on dvd until I make something like an effort to watch the twenty billion seasons of stuff I already own... The one thing the sale would be really good for is the Cardinals WS boxset, but that's not out until next month. I'm probably just getting a couple copies of Cars ($12) and Soul of the Game ($4). And maybe A Player To Be Named Later ($12), but I can probably find that somewhere else for cheaper. I was trying to think if there was anything in particular I had wanted to remember to get, but I'm blanking. Anyway, I have a week.

When I woke up this morning, I was still riding a bit of the buzz from yesterday so I downloaded a bunch of Death Cab performances from the Live Music Archive. Because sharing is caring, three live songs from a show they did on my birthday, and three from a February 2006 show: rightclicksaveas, please.

And while I'm at it...a couple more clips from Laa v Oak on 4/16/05 and clips from part two of Bronson's Japan video diary )
Robyn - Handle Me (the chorus to this song cracks me up. Just...what?)
Kanye West - Bring Me Down (live) (off Late Orchestration)
Coldplay - In The Sun (Joseph Arthur cover, feat. Michael Stipe)
José González - Hand On Your Heart (acoustic Kylie Minogue cover)
My Immortal - The String Quartet (tribute to Evanescence)
Ray LaMontagne - Crazy (acoustic Gnarls Barkley cover)
Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You (Kanye's remix)

And because I never get tired of sports writers ripping Jeter, especially with regard to A-Rod: Jeter's no MVP.

All the Teflon shortstop had to do, at any point in the season, was to let it be known that he was on A-Rod's side. The rest of the Yankees, and then the public, would no doubt have followed suit. A few words of support to the media would probably have done the trick[.]

But the Yankee captain couldn't bring himself to do that. By his silence, by his body language, he sent the unspoken message that he had no interest in helping A-Rod out of his funk. Go ahead and boo him, go ahead and rip him in the press, Jeter seemed to be saying. I don't like him any more than you do.

. . . .Whatever sin A-Rod committed against Jeter, he has more than paid penance for it. Jeter is no one's MVP until he finds a way not just to accept A-Rod, but also to help him. That's what leaders do.

Yup, yup. Now watch him win the MVP. And me without my Jeter Swallows shirt.

Is there any interest in rips of games from the Japan All Star Series? An exhibition and two of the five games have been played, with a tie (the exhibition) and two MLB wins. They'll play three more games and the first team to three wins is considered the series winner. The MLB team is pretty NL heavy with the likes of Andruw Jones, David Wright, Bronson Arroyo, Jose Reyes, and Ryan Howard. The production quality of the game broadcasts is crap, hilariously, but it's baseball ^_~
Boyz II Men have done this album of 70s/80s covers? And it's like, crazy pointless. Which makes me sad. Consider, if you will, their cover of Al Green's Let's Stay Together. See what I mean? Sad.

LIKE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Which I only saw bits and pieces of between the innings of the ballgame on Friday. I tried dling this morning but holy crap the torrents were crawling, so I gave up. But I saw enough of the beginning and the end to be depressed and kinda happy, but mostly depressed. Will try the torrents again in a little while.

There's been some talk in recent days about how the Cardinals are amendable to bringing Mark Mulder back. But I hadn't really heard anything out of his camp on it, though I was hoping. And then [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] found the following:

La Russa said they want to bring Mark Mulder back. He told us something neat about Mulder. La Russa said, "Mark told me the fans of St. Louis never saw the real Mark Mulder. He wants to show them the real Mulder." So yes it sounds as if the team and Mulder are interested in working out a deal to keep him here as he rehabs the shoulder.

Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilliant. I had a feeling he would be too lazy to uproot again for just a season or two, and now with the championship I'm feeling pretty good about him staying put. So I only have to worry about Zito going to some fucking team I have no desire to get interested in and learn about. Apparently around the ASG is when most people are targeting Mulder to be ready to pitch again, but it would be super awesome if he were in pitching form by the Oakland series in June. Because, yes.

I have this friend who, I guess, thinks talking like a 5 year old is cute. Sometimes, I want to kick her in the head. But we went to 7-11 today and she bought me a pumpkin cheesecake latte. ♥ So I resisted the impulse.

Okay, I lied. I've done an f-list cut of about 20 journals. Given that I fell tremendously behind with my f-list when I went away for three days, it made more sense to do this now than to be away for a week or more and then do it. I'll probably be testing the patience of some of you for a while longer still, because if your journal is public, I've set up tracking notifications on certain tags so I may still pop in to comment occasionally. Among the journals I've cut are a few I only added in recent weeks/months; sorry about the thing where I'm cutting your journal about five minutes after I've added it. If anyone needs an outlet to emo at me, please use email. It got embarrassing once in comments, and I'd just rather not do that whole thing. At any rate, I should still see more than a few of you around, since we have communities in common.

Over the past few months, I was increasingly putting baseball-centric posts under a filter. (No, really.) I won't be doing that anymore. As ever, keep me friended, or don't, it's up to you. I plan to get back to that place where 99% of my posts, whenever I feel like making them, are public.

...Still around? okay. While I'm here... >.>

-- I saw finally The Constant Gardener a few weeks ago. It was pretty ...wow. A much hyped movie that really delivered, I thought. It was hard to watch but worth it. And I went and got the score, because the music was just beautiful. With the African influence, it's a change of pace from my usual scores. My favorite track: Kothbiro - a lovely piece with African vocals that is something like the saddest lullaby you've ever heard.

-- I also recently saw The Departed, which I thought was a great film. I'm not a Scorsese fan, so I hadn't paid the movie much mind, despite the positive press. But [Bad username or site: sensefille / @ livejournal.com] expressed an interest in seeing it, and being an offday, I figured why not. A couple of times I had to look away from the screen, which was hard, because it was all pretty compelling and the performances were great - everyone really demanded your attention. I think the performances are really what makes the film because you've seen variations of this story so many times before. Nicholson, Damon and DiCaprio are all choice. I'd definitely recommend it. I was telling [Bad username or site: sensefille / @ livejournal.com] that I feel bad that I never really think of DiCaprio as being A Good Actor, but I've seen him in more than a few things now and I'm usually pretty impressed with his work.

-- [Bad username or site: johnnybvo / @ livejournal.com], GET CAUGHT UP ON GALACTICA. Last night's ep was for you. The ep made me a little sad, and not at all for the reasons I thought I would be.

-- It's amusing to me when my fandoms quite randomly collide. A very short, unnecessary piece involving the A's and The Office. But it made me smile.

-- If you're someone who's actually been looking forward to The Prestige, you might want to poke around [Bad username or site: trailer_spot / @ livejournal.com]'s most recent posts. He linked to a sitdown between Bale and Jackman, as well as a couple of individual interviews, I think.

-- World Series starts tonight!
There's this band, The Hold Steady? They are alllllll over the music blogosphere. They seem to be this year's Killers, or something. I personally don't really see what the big deal is. But every other mention of them involves a comparison to Springsteen that I don't get, since I don't know from Springsteen outside of Streets of Philadelphia, I'm on Fire and The Rising. And maybe Sad Eyes. Is he Sad Eyes? I'm more about the Enrique and Trisha versions of that, anyhoo. And that one song Faith Hill covered, If I Should Fall Behind, which I think he only ever wrote and never sang himself, since no Springsteen fan I know ever recognizes it when I mention it.

Anyway, I was saying, I'm not really getting the big deal. But I did like these two songs - Stuck Between Stations and First Night. If you want to check out more of the band, you can find no shortage of their tracks via the ever-helpful Hype Machine. (And, okay, after a couple listens, I also kinda liked You Can Make Him Like You and How A Resurrection Really Feels. But still.)

Stuff that caught my ear recently:
  • Smokey Robinson's Just My Soul Responding available from The No. 1 Songs In Heaven.
  • Tim Williams' I Am Wearing It available via The Test Pilot.
  • Damien Jurado's What Were The Chances via Black Balloon. If you like covers, that post also has Damien's cover of Pink Moon.
  • The bonus track, Bread and Butter, from the new Roots' cd - available via The Yellow Stereo.
  • Damien Rice's Nine Crimes via Good Weather For Airstrikes. I didn't even know he had a new album on the way!
  • Red Sparowes' Like The Howling Glory Of The Darkest Winds, This Voice Was Thunderous And The Words Holy, Tangling Their Way Around Our Hearts And Clutching Our Innocent Awe which...I found somewhere I can't remember. But it's also available in this post from Largehearted Boy. Who came first - Red Sparowes or Explosions in the Sky? Because someone is biting someone else's sound hardcore.
  • A lot of blogs chose to showcase the epic Crane Wife trilogy off the new Decemberists album, but I also like Summersong. It's available via Both Sides of the Mouth.
  • Lupe Fiasco's What It Do is real fun despite the fact that the song makes little sense to me. It's available via Silence is a rhythm too. Also available in that post is Q-Tip's Breathe & Stop, which is just as great now as it was in 1999. Whatever happened to him?

And wow, the dirty laundry certainly is a-airing about Macha, my goodness.

My mom apparently told the whole world I went to St. Louis, cause I got quasi-lectured by my cousin's husband about how there is a limit to all things and time is money and some other stuff that I don't remember because I stopped listening. THANKS, MA.

The Cubs went with Piniella, and I read somewhere that if Joe doesn't land the Nats job (pleasepleasepleaseplease), Torre's got a spot for him in New York. Aw. Except, you know, it's back with the Yankees! And that's not fun for me. So help me out, Nats.

I heard on ESPN Radio that Pujols is a Just Shut Up award nominee. Heh. His luck to be nominated the same week as Steve Lyons, I imagine.

At the airport in Richmond! Scrambled out of the apartment at 4:11, imagining all manner of things that would happen on the way and result in me just missing my flight. As it turned out, I pulled into the overnight parking at 4:55 and checked in by 5:09. Such is life. Managed to remember most everything except some chocolates I bought from the Wythe Candy Shoppe for Bri's aunt. I hate going to people's houses emptyhanded! Of all things, though, that's the most easily replaced with something else, so I'll live. I never checked with Bri to even make sure the woman wasn't diabetic, so it might have been for naught anyway.

On the drive up to Richmond, I listened to 660, out of New York. Everyone was talking about Lidle, of course. One woman suggested Lidle's death was A Message from God to the Yankees that they need to quit squabbling and start acting like a team. Wow, lady, that's hopefully not a message from any god I pray to. Another guy called in to rag on Lidle for being anywhere near a populated area if he was the kind of pilot who still needed a flight instructor up there with him. But most people just called in to echo the same sentiments: it was a shame, what a downer, it makes you realize the ballplayers are just human beings like us, yadda yadda. It had this odd feel of listening in on a late night loveline show or something. I think it was cause the host kept playing Tony Bennett coming back from the breaks.

I very much would like to recommend the track in this post: Breakable - Ingrid Michaelson
Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?
Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts.
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess,
And to stop the muscle that makes us confess.

I texted Bri last night that Oakland must be seriously rethinking giving the cripple Game 3 and she texted me back that she was ignoring me until Oakland rallied. So. I guess it's gonna be a looooong couple of days in St. Louis ^_~ Hopefully the Cards win tonight, or this could be the end of us. Come on, Oaktown. Can we at least make a series of this?

I should go - my flight starts boarding in 12 minutes, and I haven't bothered with security yet.

PS - Boooooo, United. Feel free to fly on time. Good thing I had a two hour layover coming up in Chicago.

PPS - I feel like a bit of a harlot; I washed my favorite pair of jeans last night and holy crap, they wear like a second skin right now >.>

Multiplicity - a photoset. My favorites.

This dude sure loves his Mountain Goats.

It won't work for everything, but this looks helpful for saving embedded videos on some pages. You don't have to download anything and there isn't anything to figure out, really. For FLV files, if you can't play them and don't want to download yet another player, you can use the free Riva FLV encoder to convert to mpg/avi. (Though ESPN is encoding their flash files with a codec the Riva player doesn't recognize...just so you know.)

If you like Jon Brion, interesting stuff in this post. Even if you don't like Brion, there's a good non-album Imogen Heap track over there worth grabbing.

And belatedly, since I don't watch MTV - Jimmy and Ben say Importance of Being is a fake. Thank God.

The poll results ended up being a total wash, btw. So today sendspace wins out because it doesn't have a tendency to die on me mid-upload.

The Killers were in Baltimore today with the Virgin Music Festival. As were the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thievery Corporation, and The Flaming Lips, among others. Tickets were $97.50, and I still really wanted to go, so I'm glad my mom gave me a reason to get out of the state.

I am in crazy love with the video for When You Were Young; just 'cause. Another remix for the taking: The Killers - When You Were Young (The Lindbergh Palace Mix)

'Galactica': the best tv drama you've never seen. The first paragraph contains minor spoilers for the third season, as does the second paragraph on the 5th page. "We approach season 3 with nothing but terror, insecurity, and sheer liquid horror that we're going to screw it up if we're not really, really careful. . . .That's our mantra: Don't screw it up."

I find that comforting. I'm glad they worry.

The A's failed to clinch today. [Bad username or site: rickenbacker / @ livejournal.com] says Dan better pitch a 90 minute shutout or she'll have to miss her flight. I've got $5 that says Bri's sleeping in the airport ^_~

The Cardinals apparently cannot win a game to save their lives. Should be an interesting night of Sunday Night Baseball...a game I actually want to see, for the first time in months.

Today's Marlins/Phillies game was...not fun. Scotty pitches tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna be driving and won't get to watch. Btw, I'm glad Joe's saying he won't quit, because I want Loria to have to fire him. Not that Loria seems at all averse to bad press.

The pumpkin pie ripple ice cream at Bruster's? A biiiiiiit much.

eta: Also, that whole Nick Johnson thing? :( How awful. Totally had me flashing back to B-Rob's injury in New York last season.
