~ Tea drinkers on my f-list, aidez moi! Anyone have a tried and true technique for removing tea stains from the inside of white mugs? Ours have gotten kinda grimy-looking :(

~ If you'd like a dreamwidth invite code from me (tonight, or, more likely, tomorrow morning) and you don't have a username@livejournal.com address, please let me know the email addy you'd like me to use on the invite.

~ Poetry Month's almost done, and I've hardly posted a thing. That's embarrassing. Here's a poem I've only discovered in the last couple of months; it already ranks among my favorites.

Love after Love

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

The ladies on How Clean is Your House recommend denture tablets for cleaning tea stained mugs. It cleans enamel, right?

I don't know how much those cost, but if they're on the cheapish side, I'll definitely try it. Thanks so much for the rec!

that's a great idea about the denture tablets...i heard it works but haven't tried it yet.

I'd like a DW code if you've got one to spare for me! Thanks. :D You have my email right?

Oh yeah; I've got you (and everyone else who mentioned in the poll that they wanted an invite) covered.

I'd totally love an invite code!

Question: were you also the one who invited me to Gmail?

From: [identity profile] ayrdaomei.livejournal.com

lol, I know! I've got you covered.

Um, I don't know. Maybe? I loves me some Gmail. I wish all my friends used it!

I think anyone with a paid account can use the @livejournal.com email address and the mail goes wherever your comment notifications go. That being said, I'm happy to send you an invite to your verizon addy. (Did you want me to screen that comment?)

Oh, man, I wish I had read that poem in high school. I think I might maybe be a better person now :P

Yes, now that I think about it. Thank you for being much more security-minded than me.

I'm not a tea drinker, but I have an interest in the tips you will get. I would think that they would also be helpful in getting out coffee stains? We don't have much of a problem with those at home, but we do at work, and it is disgusting to look at those mugs after a while.

I voted for the invite in your poll, so I should be on your list already, no?

I thought that maybe you would be interested in this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8027767.stm), since you talked about poetry ...
